    Result. Rang threatened to cancel. After 20 minutes of playing 'dumb' got free Sky +, free installation and free re site of original box. Had to take multiroom though, which we wanted anyway. Thanks ta all of yer. :j

    I just tried cancelling with Sky - no joy as still have 3 months of contract left. So best offer was £99 plus £30 installation. HOWEVER, he did say that there's an offer on at the moment whereby if you recommend a friend both your friend and you get a free sky plus box.... however having looked on other web sites they are slow and often not forthcoming with the freebies so not worth taking up. Ah well and I was hoping to have it for Christmas but I'm not giving them the satisfaction of overcharging me and roping me into another 12 month contract.

    just got offered sky+ for £49 - i said i wanted Multiroom and he wouldnt budge even though i been a customer for over 10 years.

    I'll try again a bit later to try and lower the price.

    SKY engineers came today and fitted my SKY+ box and have a nice shiny new white box under my TV :)
  • :j :j :j Thank you, I have just phoned up and told them I wanted to leave as I was going to buy a freeview box that you can record on, she said there was an offer on with sky plus for 49 pounds, then she said as I had been with them for 4 years she would do it for free. Its being fitted on sat :T :T :T

  • I rang and went through to cancellations got it for £50, came on Sunday to fit. Absolutely great until 2 hours later the sound went... perfect picture but no sound. Had to ring tham to get an engineer round but i cant do during the day cos i work and they wont do out of hours :mad:

    They cant make it at the weekend either :mad:

    think im asking for my £50 back :p or going to NTL

    Otherwise looked great for the time it worked!!!!:j

    anyone any hints? or tips

    Got my new (smelly:rolleyes: ) box installed yesterday, and a new dish (not sure why:confused: ) and telephone line all for FREE :j

    you got a new dish? interesting... hw long have u had sky for??? maybe its like a long time so the dish has changed....

    oh and how is the cabling.. do they do it neatly???

    wha do they do with the old box?
