I phoned the 0808 number around 9pm on Thursday night and just chose the option to get through to the cancellation department, if you get through to someone in the indian call centres I would not waste my breath speaking to them as they dont play ball well in my case they never. The lasted I have phoned up was 10pm but that went through to the indian call centre so would try phoning earlier but if you use the freephone number you can just keep trying until you get any luck

I have had SKY for nearly 2 1/2 hears and my package is £38 and I just said to the woman I am looking at cancelling SKY as I work shifts and am missing most programmes I want to watch and cannot afford £38 a month for stuff i cannot watch.

I said SKY plus would be handy for me but was quoted £179 and cannot afford that and got put on hold and she came back and said i could have SKY+ for £49 one off payment via my debit / credit card over the phone and get free installation for Tuesday. I suppose i could have hung out to see if she offered it to me for free but I was happy paying £49 and did not have to take multiroom or any other SKY product

what would they charge for this,i would like to know there high and low prices as i can then start haggling.

Am sure you could ask the engineer if they could run a cable into the bedroom and see what they say as could not see it being a problem and maybe slip then £10 for doing it as I have also not opted for multiroom and will get round to moving the normal box downstairs

Regarding the minimum package to have SKY+ am sure i seen something on their site to say that the package price has to be above £21 but I could be wrong and suppose you can always try and barter

yes to get the sky+ recording facility for free then the minimum package is £21, but u could still have just the freesat channels, just means you would have to pay £10 per month for the recording facility, hth Dave.

I have also now got SKy+ for £49.00 got that with out much haggling at all just asked nice Scottish lad for the best deal I good have it for ,offered £49.00 with out any wait at all.

Just a comment on those who dont want to pay for mulitroom but want to watch Sky in another room. I have had this since I had SKy 5 yrs ago. I gave my original enginer £10. to put the cable in my room upstairs. Connected it to the tv and then I can watch what ever is on down stairs. If you want to be able to change channels in your room you can get what is called a magic EYE. (a small black thing "I'm not very technical ) that you attach the sky lead to then plug into the tv. This enable you to switch channels upsatirs using a remote. YOu get theses just from electrical store outlets there usually about £!0 -£15.oo
