Although they're now a DCC user they would still need to have all of their systems set up etc. to obtain smart meter readings - you still have the issues of SMETS1 meters not likely to be compatible.
I would advise to contact Green and see if they have any schedule yet regarding smart meters0 -

I had a slight problem where I wasn't getting any bills produced. Joined Jan 24th and come march 25th no bills still even though credit was showing
Josh helped me out via chat and told me its because symbio (my woeful ex suppliers) hadn't confirmed my closing meter reading with them. I didn't understand this as id given the opening reading to green and also to symbio to use as my final reading as they requested it
Symbio produced a final settled bill using this reading
After my chat with josh and a further email by myself offering to send symbios final bill to them as proof green sorted out the problem and I started receiving bills

I've just joined, supply started on 28th. All was easy but I never did get a "give us your opening reading" nudge mail from them as was promised whn I signed upNot a biggy and I'm quite able to remind myself, so i supplied the reading albeit a day later.Just hoping lack of what should've been a routine mail is not a taste of things to come, but the tariff I'm on means I can go at any time without penalty so again not a problemEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

If you could drop an email through to kevin@green.energy I would be more than happy to have a look into this matter for you.
Thanks,
KevinNot a big problem Kevin, I'll leave it as it is, nothing to see hereAt least you are now aware and hopefully "Lesson have been learned" as they sayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Nice to see a green representative contributing to the forum. I remember when all companies had representatives on these forums. It's quite rare nowadays. Thank you Kevin2

I've just initiated a switch away from Green, purely because I can get a cheaper fix (with 0 exit fees) elsewhere. I'll let y'all know if there's any hitches. One slightly annoying thing is that, in anticipation, I requested that they reduce my direct debit so that I didn't build up credit. They happily reduced it, but then immediately increased it again - possibly an automated part of their system. Other than that, there have been no problems. Their app and online account area work fine (although the 'your insights & trends' bit has remained empty since I joined in October 2019) and each monthly meter reading has resulted in an accurate bill.0
