Ask the green chat people to help then. They are very accommodating. I only ever use my mobile for utility company dealings. On My laptop I use Firefox but I rarely turn it on1

I'll have to chat because the app requires email on the same device, and altho I could put the app on an old tablet ,don't want to switch email over.0

Why can't you just log into email on the device you've installed app on?? I'm confused. You can be logged into your email on multiple devices0

One thing I would say is that Green. are heavily focused to people using the app on a mobile device.
If you don't have a smart phone and prefer to do things a bit old school (nothing wrong with that) - then they may not be the company for you.
If you are tech savy and prefer using a mobile app for your energy then you shouldn't have any problems0 -

I am "tech savvy" -build my own desktops for instance - I actually tried 3 different browsers (FF, Edge and Chrome) but the "submit opening readings" button does the same thing in all three ie asks me which programme I want to use to complete the action. If they are focused on using mobile apps perhaps they should make that a condition as Pure Planet do, for instance.

I switched to Green's Birch tariff in December, after getting increasingly fed up with the shambolic mess made by GreenStar Energy since I moved house with them 18 months previously, preferring to accept £60 early exit fees as less than my charges would have been over the past 3 months had I stayed. I felt better about paying slightly more for Birch than for the lower Oak tariff, as Birch offers renewable electricity AND carbon offset gas. The changeover was very smooth, and they send regular reminders to ask for meter readings to ensure I am paying the correct rate. When I asked via email, they agreed to keep me on a lower direct debit than my winter usage suggested, as they expect my usage to fall in the coming months. So far, I'm entirely satisfied with their pain-free service!0

Giving them a try as they came out cheapest, on Oak variable tariff which came out cheaper option for me, normally I opt for fixed but at least the variable hasn't got an exit fee should it go pear shapedChange over date forecast is 17 days from now, which gives about the 26thEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
