Just signed up with green, had welcome email, DD setup email, so far so good0

I have been with British Gas for many years and decided to take a chance on this new supplier Green as I do like smart technology and this seems to have potential.
I first noticed their Oak tariff on here and went over to their website and couldn't find it anymore, just a tariff called "Birch". After speaking on live chat, the Oak tariff has been pulled from sale on their website and Birch has taken its place, however, this new tariff worked out to be only an extra £4.
So far, support has been prompt and look forward to fulfilling my switch.0 -
I moved to Green on their Oak tariff. Their Birch tariff would work out £40-50 more for me per year (electric-only). I appreciate the tariffs are variable but I wonder how long the prices will stay as they are on the Oak one before they increase near to - or to match - their Birch tariff.
Other things to note:
- Your default billing cycle is the monthiversary of account opening (rather than running 1st of month to end of month like some others)
- Your direct debit date can be changed by speaking with support. It is taken by default ~1-5 days after your monthiversary/billing cycle date.
- I have been informed that you can set your billing cycle to a date of your choosing (haven't tried yet)
- You cannot (yet) set your DD amount through the app, but can be changed by speaking with them
- Multiple MPANs will each be assigned their own Green account
- Santander don't pay 2% bills cashback on the 123 account/123 lite as DD payments are taken through a third party.0 -
Only been with them for just over a month, so not too much to report yet, but the switch went well and all good so far. Their app used to be annoying regarding how to login, but that has recently improved. My main issue is their name! Type in 'green energy' and you get all sorts of hits, none of them their website!
In brief, so far so good.0 -
I have been with Green.energy for over two months now
The switch was absolutely fine
I am very happy with the company.
They are the cheapest without any of the bad customer service feedback
I would recommend0 -
Whereas if you type in 'green.energy', you go straight to their website...0

I took a chance on Green after my deal was ending with Ovo. The switch has been hassle free, DD setup quick and email communications good. I have downloaded their app and the first statement came through this month much quicker than other companies and saved me money too! I'd recommend them.0

Lots of new people offering reviews?
Anyway I've swtiched from eversmart/utilita, went through on the 20th, have taken DD but no sign of this updating in the app0 -
The company changed its name again to Green Supplier Limited on 16th August 2019.
I applied to switch to them on 25th July, and found the switch went smoothly, expect that they told me that direct debits would be taken in the name of "Green Energy", but it was actually "GC re Green Energy Limited" who took the money.
I noticed that I was not receiving the expected 2% cashback on energy payments by direct debit from my Santander 1-2-3 current account. It transpired that GC stands for "Go Cardless", and Santander only allow the cashback on payments made directly to the energy supplier, identified by their Operator Identity Number (OIN), a unique six digit number given to each organisation or service user who is authorised to use the
Direct Debit Scheme. Clearly "Go Cardless" is a multi-industry payment agent, not recognised by Santander as an energy supplier.
Green Supplier Limited say that I should keep trying because some of their customers are receiving the cashback.
The amount of cashback foregone is less than I would lose by switching to another supplier, so if I can't persuade them to change their mind I shall have to live with it.0 -
The latest electricity fraud currently being carried out in the UK is to subsidise 'renewable' power providers to such an extent that other providers are unable to compete. They, the Government know, that people will always move to providers with the cheapest prices. So, when all the conventionable energy providers have gone under the Government and their criminal cronies will say that the people voted with their wallets for renewable energy.0
