I would have stayed with Green Energy but moving is saving me money since their price increase coming on 1st Oct
.
I am not paying extra to be loyal1 -

The quality of the end product is exactly the same regardless, I don't care for customer service ratings either, if you are on top of your meter readings and payments and know your tariff and contract details there is no need to interact with the company anyway - chasing the cheapest deal has worked out so far for me.
I think the biggest risk is ended up with a supplier that goes bust, but only because of ending up on a random tariff with a supplier of last resort and then missing out on some of the better deals on the market that have ended, but for all the money I've saved to date, the risk is still worth taking.1 -

Exactly my thoughts too

Yes, loyalty to a supplier is long gone. Price is important on energy now as after all if your provider goes bust your lights don't go off, you just get hassle with new "supplier of last resort" and have to switch away when can, paying more in the process.I have about 18 months left roughly on a sweet tariff deal with Green to run, which is why I hope they don't go to the wall as otherwise i'll have to go through a switching process again and get a lousy deal for my efforts.0

Officially moved yesterday from green - not even a sorry you’re leaving email, they cancelled the DD, so bye green….0

I am just wondering if I should cancel my DD to Green energy as it is due on 21st but I will be in credit before it is taken and Sainsbury's will take a DD on the 24th0

I was actually thinking of signing up to Green as I'll be on EDF's Standard default tariff come October 1st
(currently on an insanely good tariff from a few years ago)
Guess from the above I shouldn't bother0 -
@RolandTheSquirrel Weirdly a couple of weeks ago I nearly went from green to EDF. I was offered a 100 pound bill credit on a 3 year fix with no exit fee. Unsure if that offer is still available as prices have increased once more in the past fortnight. I stayed with Green as they bettered the fix with EDF by offering a signup to tariff they had stopped selling a month or so ago if I stayed. Ok the fix was for only 12 months and has exit fees but its cheaper than what EDF offered and id rather stay with green than go big six0

Direct Debit was cancelled, they've calculated me a bill (although not a final bill) so hopefully not long till the final one arrives.0

Message on Green’s website now says
“We're sorry about this, but due to unprecedented events in the wholesale market we have decided to stop new customers signing up for the moment”
