I emailed them to ask about fixed tariffs I could move to. No response for 7 days so have initiated a switch to a fixed tariff elsewhere (Sainsbury 1 year fix).0

Looking at what is about, and likewise no response about a new fix deal or what is on offer from Green to new customers after a week, I too have started a switch to another company. I think variable is just not an option at this time with fluctuations and more rises likely next spring. Although there are some smaller companies that are marginally cheaper like Neon Reef or Zog etc, the hassle if these smaller companies go under and trying to find another fix, I have opted for a 2 year fix, with not the big companies but a reasonable size one, Ovo Energy who I was with before Green with no problems. It's a lot more than my Oak tariff, but is around, not quite, the best I can get for me and my area.

I especially liked the way I could automatically ask for a refund of a credit balance via their web portal without any human involvement at all
I used this to my advantage e.g. I purposely made overpayments to max out my santander 123 account energy direct debit cashback then just clawed the overpayments back via the ovo web portal every few months0 -

I've just received this e-mail from Green:Hello,
We will be offering super-fast broadband to your homes very soon. If you like the idea of reliable, fast, and cheap broadband, then look no further.
Make sure you register your interest below, and we will keep you updated for when we launch.
I live near Hull so can't really use any provider other than KCOM but thought it might be of interest to those who are free to choose.1 -
I have been with Green for a few years. Now I am thinking of leaving due to the latest price hike and the difficulty of contacting their customer service. I just started to move my electricity to Neno Reef. Can I just have my gas provided with Green, or do I have to move my gas somewhere else too? Thanks0

It probably won't be at the same price as your dual fuel deal. Zog are a gas-only supplier. Could be worth a look.

"We're sorry about this, but due to unprecedented events in the wholesale market we have decided to stop new customers signing up for the moment read more."1 -

Good. They are appalling. Honestly, how anyone didn’t see this company is a joke. Their trust pilot reviews say it all. I know from experience, they try and take them down. If they didn’t their score would be much lower. They just take, take money and don’t respond to anyone. They couldn’t find our account so we couldn’t provide the details to say it was a genuine review. Much like the majority of reviews. People have zero contact from them. They are going into broadband apparently. They need to sort out their fuel first. We had the misfortune of moving into a property supplied by them.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they went bust. They are terrible and shouldn’t be in business. We managed to switch.1
