Evening All,
Not much to report MSE wise really, not spent a huge amount over last few days due to working. I bought lunch today so that was £5 and then purchased some milk yesterday. Thursday and Friday were both NSDs (not really tracked these recently so that is 2 NSDs already I am going to target 15)
Personal targets wise
- Drink more water - Thursday & Friday I did really well with this, yesterday and today not so much. I did feel better when drinking more though so will maintain this.
- Exercise more - EPIC FAIL! Not really done anything really so this got to change
- Read more, less technology - I take a book to work and read every day, I need to keep up with this, it gives me a welcome break from my phone and pc.
Also tried to sleep early without much success, one night I fell asleep at 8:30pm and was awake and feeling refreshed at 11:30pm haha, not ideal when up at 5am for work. Hopefully this will improve over time.
Plan for 4 days off:
- Finally sort garage (couldn't do last week due to rain).
- Speak with Cabot re a debt ( they been very difficult).
- Read and catch up on diaries.
- Complete the next 12 month budget (been dreading this) but will be useful to do.
Hope every one has had a lovely weekend, so looking forward to this 4 days off0 -

What a journey! You said hi on my diary so have spent today reading yoursJust want to say well done and I wondered, as a motivational thing, have you worked out how much you have saved by not having as many C*stas?
I also wanted to say have you thought about the future and what you will do with all this knowledge you have acquired on budgeting etc? I know you mentioned in your first post that you want to be a homeownerIs this still motivating you?
You are doing great. Keep going x"Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison

Heythanks for popping by, that's a great idea I really should work it out I guess the figure will be really high. I do still have the odd C*sta, however I now pretty much manage to avoid it most times. I have had 5 in the last 4 months, I was having it at least once a day for 16 days a month as long as I have worked at my current job which is 18 months....you imagine the figure..that is a scary thought:eek:
This is possibly going to sound a little entitled which is certainly isn't meant to be but if I can provide a stable upbringing for my daughter and go on holiday once a year I would be happy. I want to be able to provide my daughter experiences rather than material things and in order to do that I had to focus on where all the money was leaking. I would love to be an homeowner so yes this does still provide a motivation, still seems way off.0 -

Doesn't sound entitled at all, being able to provide your daughter with a great, enriching quality of life is a very worthy goalx

Morning All,
Not much to update really, haven't had any unplanned spends so that is good. Yesterday had to get a top up shop, but should be no more spends now til Friday.
Not much really planned for today, will probably catch up on diaries. I have worked through budget and it i should be able to clear the final Lowell payment and a massive chunk to clearing the debt to Mum. It seems a bit of a failure that at the beginning of my diary that was my number 1 goal and yet it still remains outstanding, but other debts have been cleared and I am starting to see benefit of budgetting0 -
yay £4,XXX - well doneI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
yay £4,XXX - well done
Cheers Mark, the figure is coming down slowly. The plan is to hit it a little harder in the new year. I have a few things coming up finance wise...I have MOT due in early December so that will need to be accounted just in case anything comes up with that.
After xmas I plan to adjust my budget slightly as some of my outgoings will drop, so will have more to throw to debt too0 -
A stable upbringing for your daughter and a holiday once a year are great goals
Well done on clearing down the debt to your Mum. You will get there!"Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison

My daughter is motivation enough, I should have kicked the debts !!! years ago but no time to look back.
I think when I can take a moment to reflect I am really pleased with progress...gotta start taking care of me too a bit now, but that can be my new goal after debt freedom haha0
