You are rightI think I will just be happier once Mum paid off. This is the one I really wanted to achieve 1st so feels a little disappointing that it hasn't happened yet. However I do feel like I am starting to get to grips with things and also stuff is getting paid on time so on balance i'm doing okay with it.

Hey All,
Back on the nights
Not much happening really last few days, i have managed to do a clear out and also managed to not spend much either. I have been re-thinking how i am tackling this and i have decided its time to get a little more stricter with things, hopefully doing this slowly will lesser the effect but i want to try get more paid off by Xmas...whilst we are on the subject of Xmas today marked the day (very early) i know that we got the last of the little one's pressies. We have been lucky as partner does a lot of surveys/product testing which has paid well in vouchers so we have managed to get a lot of the smaller stuff via vouchers(sound like a cheap skate now lol). Hopefully this now stands us well moving towards xmas as just the family to buy for now so not as much pressure.
The groceries still last well, got to get a few bits in next few days but not as much as i would have thought. I have also made a payment towards the CCJ of £14..not much but takes that figure down and also means in 3 months i have cleared £950 of debt.
I have a few tweaks to make to ensure i can overpay lots this next few months and if i can do that i should be clearing £250-£270 a month from now til at least Xmas.
Hope you all have a fab week0 -
I do surveys and they are such a massive help for stuff like that.
At the end of the day it's her time and her time is precious so she is using it to the advantage of your child so they can have more presents to open from Santa, I wouldn't call that a cheap skate.

Yeah very true, gotta admit they have made it so much more easier on us this year, we normally are sat putting money away for ages ha but it's one less thing to have to factor in this time around ,0

My only problem is that I end up spending most of the earnings on myself - whoops!

So today is my Friday
wooooo! Last night shift, tonight i am going to catch up on some diaries and possibly look at meal plan for next week. I have just bought a few notepads to try track my spends more and also put down on paper the budgets and targets. I have spreadsheets but for some reason i find it easier to write down....may also be i just like writing in pretty coloured pens :rotfl::rotfl: progress seems to be good. The CCJ will be gone this month, also the small lowell debt should be gone this seems like slower progress than it should have been which is a little demotivating but it is going down.
Signature updated to reflect the small £14 i paid other day and forgot to update, its only seeing this that makes me see progress is good.
***CONFESSION - I bought Costa on route to work today! haha. I have decided one costa on my last day is my reward for getting through a week of work politics! haha..LOVE the bonfire Latte***0 -
8 days to payday and all budgets still looking really good. All direct debits have come out, must admit feels really good that all the regualr payments have not been missed for 3 months. I know sounds like a small thing to be happy about but was very rare i got through a month before without at least one late fee for something. Also doing well with the food budget...need to get more milk for work 2morro (some staff member keeps stealing milk!!)
Also for the first time in 15 months my direct debit for the electric/gas has been dropped due to the fact the extra i have been paying as cleared off all the debt that accurred which is a huge positive i have been paying nearly double every month for the last 10 monthsbut at current rate my balance will be zero by December, i don't really like looking ahead but that would feel good
Enjoy rest of your week all0
