Thank you, i am making steady progress haha, make a money saver out of me one day :rotfl:0 -
Morning all,
well yesterday was a horrible day! Ya know one of them days where everything just is meh. So i finished work got a few beers and just had some junk food and a few drinks watching a film, long time since i have done that but feel all good again now
Today i am off work so will do some housework and have some fun time with daughter i think, days at work suck as she is normally sleeping when i leave and then sleeping or nearly sleeping when i am home.
I am also going to look at the figures and see what is what at some point and set out some plans til the end of the year
have fab day0 -
Aye, today felt similarly 'meh' as I imagine yours did yesterday!
That sounds like a very nice and chilled day. Time with important people seems so hard to come by, these days, right? That's a huge reason I want to get debt free and build my savings.
I don't know about you, but there's not a day that goes by at the moment where I'm not thinking of the figures and planning how/when to reach my goals. Haha.0 -

Sorry ya had a meh day they are not very nice are they? Today was a much more relaxed day thankfully. One of my regrets is that I do not get to spend much time with daughter and unfortunately we have not really had the summer holidays I would have liked for her. I dunno what it is I just seem to either be working or too tired from working
Yeah I get that a lot, I am always thinking about the next steps and how and where I can save and what can I do better to impact that when in reality I am doing okay, yeah I could do with more been paid off but its a slow process I guess0 -
Glad you had a nice day with your daughter, who knows this time next year you could be in a totally different position and able to do heaps of stuff
if she's anything like most daughters, she'll just love getting to spend time with her dad

Evening All,
Hope everyone is having a nice week
Not much to report debt wise, few days till payday and I am still not sat waiting for it to come haha, this is a serious change and hoepfully by this payday i will be in a position to put our full food budget away and also our petrol budget too which is not normal and means our income we get mid month can be used to pay debt
In other news i got confirmation today that one of the positions i applied for want to interview me for the role so looking forward to that, it does mean i work 5 days rather than 4 but also means i get to come off shift work, so gotta spend a few days preparing for this interview
Tomorrow will be a much needed family day out, it seems like the summer holidays have not been great as we had hospital with dad, plus we then had a few appointments with daughter so i really wanna give her a nice day out. The fact we can do this whilst still not worrying about money is maybe a sign of how far we have come.0 -

We have just had a mixed summer I guess, I was looking at holidays earlier in hope that for the 1st time in 10 years we might actually get abroad...I would love to take daughter to Disneyland orlando its a dream of mine, me and the mrs had it booked before daughter arrived but after spending so long saving for it we got made redundant a month before due to go and we had to cancel and save money to live on so I would like to go one day0 -
Hi all,
Not really updated much last few days.
Friday : Food festival and fair with the family, which was nice to get a bit of down time together and then had a movie night and takeaway
Saturday: didn't really get up to much other than some general house clean up and then work in the night.
Sunday: Stayed up from night shift as engineer had to come to house and then also watched the final day of cricket and played board games with daughter which seemed such a good idea at the time, but feeling it now!! haha
I wanna try be a bit more positive about a few things, whilst I feel my job at present does not give me the balance i would like, i think i need to be happy that i have a job whilst some are no so lucky and look to be more proactive in improving my skills to get better employment. I love writing and sports so would love to do more of this, also love travel and always wanted to work in this field. I did want to look at possibility of web design but it all costs money which i don't have yet lol...oh i can dream though.
Targets
#Drink more water.
#Eat more healthy (or at least 3 meals).
#control my own future.
Looks like Monday is going to be another warm one:T so hope you all enjoy your bank holiday0 -
Oh, sounds like a great weekend. The food festival sounds good...although I am such a good lover.
I hear you on the job front. I'm happy to have a job and quite enjoy it but don't want to do it for the rest of my life. That's why I'm spending time this year studying again. We'll see how that goes! Haha.
Plans are always a good thing. You've already set out a few things you'd like to do, now look into what you need to do them and...do that?
I like how you have targets. I think everyone's should be drink more water
Good luck on the food and future front! Hope you're well and get to enjoy this bank holiday, too.0
