The help that is here is extraordinary and I am so grateful to those who have assisted me. The combined knowledge of those on the MSE Parking forum is the best you will find anywhere.

chelostar said:Some good news. I have just won my case with OPS and there is better news even than that. More than I could have hoped for and an outcome which may assist others. I advise anyone who is planning to challenge OPS, to be very careful not to identify yourself on here, as OPS and their debt collector ZZPS are on these forums, are watching and their practices are incidious. This is likely to apply to any parking company. Don't show your hand. Go to the Newbies thread and read the information there and then start your own thread for the help that you need. **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!
I assume this was another failure by QDR ?
To clarify for newbies, YES, the scammers and their uncouth legals do read this forum, and this forum is very dangerous for them. It was this forum that picked up the strike out in Southampton for BWLegal which started the Abuse of Process. Since then, more and more courts strike out the fake claims and this will dramatically increase.
Therefore a message to scammers who read this forum ..... as long as you use dodgy legals who makes fake claims, you will probably lose ??

Hi beamerguy and Ralph-y, I hadn't wanted to post anything on here until I had an outcome as ZZPS (hello ZZPS) had already identified me because I niavely put the offence date and place and they picked it up and told OPS that I was worried. OPS said 'litigate immediately'. I know this because I requested under freedom of information, all correspondence be disclosed.Anyway, I digress .... All details will be posted shortly. Yes CM was a HUGE help. I really want my case to assist others. I (or should I say we as it was a definite huge collective effort) won on points that on my own I never would have considered. I am well capable of standing up for myself, but when it comes to the law on these matters I do not have a clue. Well I didn't. I do now. Collective knowledge is so important with these cases and that is why I am pointing anyone who is unfortunate enough to be harrassed by these shysters to come over here and get help not only for themselves but to also drive forward legislation which stops these nasty, greedy people from making people's lives a misery and collecting money on bogus terms. Unconscionable.5

I know this because I requested under freedom of information, all correspondence be disclosed.Did you actually see that in writing? Any chance you could scan the exchange and upload it here? Very interesting reading.By the way (and for any newbies reading), it wouldn't have been a Freedom of Information request (only applies to public bodies), more likely a Subject Access Request (SAR).@chelostar - exceptionally well done, and I'm really looking forward to reading your report (and upload above). 👍Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Umkomaas - thank you for corrrecting me - got my terminolgy wrong but you get the gist. Same outcome. I will fish out the email exchange which shows that ZZPS (hello again ZZPS) scan these forums for their name coming up and quite likely that of OPS too. Really nasty, but of course that email exchange has no legal legs, but it does show how truly awful both companies are. And, worse, they are all hand in glove. I think that ZZPS are very lucky not to have been dragged in to my case or they too could be up for the high jump. You'll see ;-)

Umkomaas - thank you for corrrecting me - got my terminolgy wrong but you get the gist.@chelostar - I wasn't correcting you, it was really a footnote for newbies reading your thread (maybe many months down the line) as many think that a FoI request can be issued to anyone and everyone, then find themselves wasting valuable time going down a cul de sac, and a PPC will not rush in to redirect them while the clock is ticking down (for an appeal or Defence, as examples). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
