Everyone is doing so well. I've started keeing a diary of what I'm spending other than Bills etc, and stayed under budget in week 1. Also started a cashflow statement, so have a better idea where I stand with the overdraft. With a little bit more effort I think I may just make it.

Good to see more people joining in the challenge and some of you are doing so well already.

I feel like I am not getting anywhere this month. This month is proving hard as we paid for the last few of our christmas presents with Decembers wages. The good thing is least we didn't use any credit for christmas but the downside is we are now skint lol.

Have just started the Olympic challenge too so hoping to get some extra money coming in. I need to scour the house for stuff to sell on Ebay.

Well, I had some news last week and a car crash I had 13 months ago has finally been resolved!! I was found completly innocent, which was only fair as the other driver changed lanes without looking straight into me:mad: .

My car should be found to be a write off, the damage was mainly cosmetic apart from the front strut. But as my car is an old Punto its not worth too much but hopefully I should get a payout soon for about £500 and then buy the salvage back for £50 so although my car has been beaten up somewhat, the money will come in very handy!

Will let you know how much and if I get the money in time!

Congrats on everyones progress and at least even if we arent making huge repayments after Christmas we arent in the postition we were in last year:T I worked out how much extra I would have been paying in March/April (when my mortgage rate increases from 4.99 to 6 and the council tax goes up) and its quite scary.

  • I haven't really made any difference with my aim BUT I am now back in my agreed OD (just) after having all my DD bounced and charged when my pay cleared late because of Christmas AND last week I was given an extra day at work and a pay rise and a bonus for working almost every day in Dec (I'm part-time and don't get paid over time I get TOIL) so that should all help.

I'm still very hopeful of clearing it all by April.

  • Congratulations on the pay rise TK

Glad to see so many people doing so well. Think I'm on target to be overdraft free by 1st April. Doing a cashflow statement has really helped. Can we have another challenge after this one as need to pay off my 0% credit card before July.

Waiting for a few things to come through still, Order a cheque from Global Test Market before Christmas, Also requested a payment from Opinion bar before christmas, anyone know how long they take? Also waiting for a £5 sainsbury's voucher from toluna and a £5 Argos voucher from IPSOS.

Jioned Pure profile the other day as it looks like some people get a lot of money from there, filled in all the profile info but not recieved anything yet.

    Good luck everyone
  • im up for doing another one after this!!!
