I have made another £4.65 yesterday!:j My mum wanted to order some xmas presents online so asked me to do it cos she knows i can get cashback, and she gets a bit confused with online ordering!!. So i ordered them and got £2.50 cashback through quidco! She then gave me a cheque to cover it all as id used my card, but rounded up the cheque to the nearest ten, telling me to keep the extra £2.15 as "commission" :rotfl: as it would have cost her £2.80 on the bus to get the shops to buy them anyway - and id got her much better prices online than the high street shops anyway! :D

I also noticed an additional 60p worth of kelkoo clicks on quidco have been validated when i logged in ! So yay! :) If i count that - that makes £5.25...

Then today i just got 2 surveys on lightspeed - so managed to get another £2 sent to my paypal! So now thats £7.25 this week - BONUS!!

    Taking my total too.... £57.38!!:T

Only another £242.62 to go before april..
  • Morning all. :hello:

How is everyone doing with the challenge? Doodledo - haven't heard from you recently? How are you doing with your challenge?

Got paid today so have some money to throw at my debts :j but not as much as I wanted to as seriously overspent last month:mad: . I only have myself to blame!

Its so depressing when you get paid. I look at all the money that goes toward tax and national insurance, try and figure out what I get for that money, rant about the government for 5 minutes and then think about one day living in a tax haven. :D

As you can see I've done really well this month Overdraft only £170.40 and payday is tomorrow (we get paid early in December). Unfortunately January will be a very bad month as a lot of my expenses seem to have gone into next January instead of December, plus have had a few extra costs as well. So going to aim to spend very little cash during December and try and get a bit more cash in somehow to cover these extra costs. Fingers crossed, any tips greatfully appreiciated.
  • Is it too late to join ?

It would be my first challenge i haven't felt brave or determined enough to start any of the others around here

I currently have a loan with welcome finance for £1,500 this loans interest rate is 50% which is truly shocking as you can imagine i want to get rid of this as soon as possible

So if i can join its £1,500 that i'm trying to save and whilst this may not get rid of the whole debt it will get rid of a great chunk of it so that will bring my dfd closer and i can start to snowball my debts
soooo anyhooooooo can i join ?
  • Evening all and welcome to all the new challegees!

I paid off £220 off the evil cc today :D made up of:
    £20 Christmas money
£178 second job money (unfortuantly no more of this)
    £6 from an Ebay sale
    £14 from Amazon sales
£2 from my salary to round things up

Hopefully my lodger will give me Januarys rent early so I can pay that off and then use some of my salary to clear the card before 2008. If so 2008 will be the first time in about 6 years that I wont have a cc debt hanging over my head:D

Its been a pretty mad year for me and as well as all the personal stuff I have aquired £157k worth of debt just on my shoulders from my flat alone, but managed to get my total debt to under £160k. I have paid off just over 3k since my LBM as well as solicitors fees and 2k worth of mortgage arrears run up by my ex. If I can do half as well in 2008 I shall be a pretty happy bunny!

I hope everyones challenges are going well!
