Clear a debt by April challenge

So some of you will have seen my previous posts but in short I want to clear my MBNA card currently at £1300.
I have felt a bit stuck with this one for a while and it doesn't seem to be reducing so thought I would set myself a challenge and see if anyone wanted to join me.
So my challenge is to clear this card by 1st April 2008. I will do this by ebaying, quidcoing and throwing any additional cash/savings at this card.
So if you would like to join in name your debt here and we can use this thread to support each other through the challenge and record our progress.
Thanks again to everyone for your support yet again you have perked me up

Hello Fellow Challengee's
I want to clear my hubby's Vanquis card which stands at £1005, this is the debt with the highest APR and I really want to see the back of it.
My plan of action:
~ Quidco - I currently have £239 either tracked or validated and as soon as I receive this, it will be going straight on the card
~ Ebay - I had a major ebay clear out last month but who knows what will turn up
~ Overpaying - If we come into a little extra money each week then that will go on the card too.
~ R Points - Have just started this up too, have 630 points but need 2500 before they pay out
I'm really commited to clearing a lot of debt in 2008 and feel I'm in the right place to do it.

I want to have cleared my OD and Laptop = £639.00 and I will keep up the payments on my loan which will probably take me to £1,300 no problem.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Wahey!
Love a good challenge..
I'm in for a rather shocking £1556.... 5 months in which to do it, thats £311 a month.... GAME ON!
Mine will mostly come from controlling my shockingly appaling spending record! Therefore that should mean I can make some overpayments to the card at the end of each month...
Ebay is out for me, as Ive literally got the shirt on my back! So it'll be savings from sandwiches, meal planning and say no to takeaway!Unless of course someone else is paying!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Count me in on this one too
i have £998.60 on my c/c and the 0% periods just come to an end so i have to clear that as soon as possible.
i have also been really slacking with my efforts to become debt free so this is just the inspiration i need.
i just counted up my change jar and have £101.00 to pay towards it so bring it on

Can I join?
Not joined any challenges yet so this will be my first - scary!!
I was hoping to be debt free by April next year - but I don't think thats going to be the case now due to university expenses I didn't expect. Now hoping to clear my Barclaycard debt of £934.90 by April. I think this is definitely doable!
Just started listing things on Amazon Marketplace - and within 5 minutes my 24 box set sold - yippee!!! So i can already chuck £15.99 at my debt!!! Now about to list another 50+ dvds!! Wish me luck hehe!!0 -
Ohh, me too.
I haven't joined in on a challenge on here before but it's about time I started. I have a flexiloan of £800 and an overdraft of £500 I want to clear so as I can leave HSBC, I make that £260 a month.
I've got some freelance work lined up but other than that it'll have to be ebaying, quidco and anything else I can think of in the mean time.A Life Less Simple - one day I'll get there0 -
Good Morning All,
So has everyone worked out how much they need to pay off a month in order to do it?
Mine is a rather humbling £311.12.....
Better get a move on then!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi,
i'd like to join please.
I have an old overdraft with HSBC that i want to clear of £981.
That works out at £196.20 per month.
I've cleared out the kids rooms and garage today for e-bay frenzy and will be doing as much christmas shopping as possible on quidco for the cashback.
I've also done the meal planning thing now and that's got my food bill down to £18 per week for 2 adults and 2 kids, so i've saved £28 per wk to throw at the debt as well.Total debt at LB Moment (Nov 2007) = £6583 £4649 20.03.09
£5060 Black horse Loan - £4114 as of 20.03.09
£940 o/d with hsbc - -£535 as of 20.03.090
