I only get one bonus a year (if I'm very lucky, didn't get one last year) and don't get paid overtime (just very lucky about when I got it). Now the hard part is paying the rest off, Must try very hard to spend less.
  • I'd like to join in please. I have a £2000 Alliance and Leicester loan, will pledge to pay of £1000 by 1st April.

Will add to my sig now!

I have already paid off one credit card this month (250) and paid out 460 for car insurance so I wont be paying anything off until the first of next month. As a priority I need to pay off my 600 sofa and that I need to do in one go really. Although if I remember I may count up my copper collection and pay three or four quid off my cc.

I just thought I should mention that so you know I am still around just on a big 0!

  • Hello everyone, haven't been on for a few days, my laptop died and this is me back online today, it's been really boring without my daily hit of mse.

Just to update, my challenge is to clear my hubby's Vanquis card which currently stands at £1005.00, I have paid £50 towards it but it wont be £50 off the balance due to the whopping interest they charge, so I will update my totals every month when I get the statement through.

I've worked out that to pay the balance off by April (which by the way DoodleDo, does this mean the balance paid off by 1st April or 30th April, please confirm :p ) it works out as:

To pay off by 1st April - £251.25/month or £58.43/week
To pay of by 30th April - £201.00/month or £46.74/week

This challenge will be hard, but I'm determined to do the best I can.

  • Well Ive made £26 on ebay by selling two things, and waiting for one to end tonight, I dont know whether to transfer the money over or keep it in my paypal and accumulate it.

My ex has also given me an extra one hundred this month for christmas, to make it easier on me, hes a good guy, shame things didnt work out.

So going to use that money for xmas presents for fam, and hopefull will be able to save about £50 of that.

Also I went into HSBC today to ask to decrease my overdraft and they said I couldnt do it and it wasnt worth it.

I think Im going to switch bank accounts, and I cant wait for the day that account has closed down so I can tell them to do one :rotfl:

  • Hey everyone...

Made another £10 in Amazon sales today so total paid off now stands at £80.41! I have quite a few more items listed so hopefully can make that £100 by Sunday!!!

Will then use that Amazon money plus £250 of my wages next week to pay off some of my Barclaycard. Debt will be down to £600 end of this month some things are looking up!! :j

Be even happier come April & debt has finally gone!!!!
