    Hey Everyone

Just wanted to share my good news. Today I paid off my credit card!!!!! Was a whopping £461 which is going to leave me very short for Feb but boy is the feeling worth it! and this also means I've reached my challenge goal!

This has made me even more determined to sort out my finances. Next to tackle is my £1800 overdraft. Also saving for a move but hope to have it cleared in 6 months so £300 per month!

I truly believe that this site has helped me take control of my debt. It's a fantastic support network and I just want to say a big thank you to everyone.

    Keep up the good work!!

Well done you what a brilliant achievement :T

Hmm, January has ended up far more expensive than planned, but, it's payday tomorrow and despite the unexpected holiday we had last week :embarasse(closest I could find to a sunburnt smilie), I have £128.45 left to pay towards my target, but I won't update my sig until tomorrow when I can also pay a bit into my ISA. Its not quite the £750 I was hoping for this month but better than nothing I guess:o . Now I just have to pull a magic trick somewhere along the lines to meet my April target.

  • Hopefully got another £50 to go on my debt from Quidco this month, I say hopefully because I've been hit with back tax because when I moved it took the Inland Revenue a while to sort out the council tax. I've also got some money comming in from eBay next week, not sure how much but it should be atleast £100.
Still not sure I'll make April but I'm going to give it a damb good try!
  • Slowly getting M&S paid down Abbey not playing ball so will have to wait and see.

Really looking forward to being overdraft free, thinking of changing my current account in April/may once overdraft has gone. Thinking of either the 1st Direct one (get £100 for switching) if I get a small pay rise (to meet the £1500 per month) or the Abbey one at 8%. Getting really sick of A&L now, especially as they changed their overdraft charges, thats not helped with getting rid of it. Then its on to getting rid of this 0% card, I'm determined that this is the end of my Debt (except for Mortgage) forever.

  • One down one to go. Paid of the Virgin card in January. However, Jaunary has been an expensive month with moving house and renovating it, the clutch needing replacing on the car, and new glasses.

By I am doing a science study tomorrow which will pay me £60, I am waiting to be connected to the internet at the new house so I can list some eBay items and I have some money sitting in quidco at the moment too. I also have a pay rise kicking in next month and another in April along with a bonus so I might just clear the Amazon card in time. Fingers crossed!

  • Sorry folks had a manic last week in January and had last week off.

Good news is i've cleared my target already (£2,187.03)! Really pleased as thought it would be a struggle to clear it originally but with my overtime i've managed it earlier!

I'm in a very good mood today, arranged to switch Gas and Electric to a cheaper supplier. Emailed scottish power to let them know I'm leaving them, and as i've let them know I'm leaving they can't charge me the higher rates, so get to stay on the cheaper rate till i switch plus, they are sending me a cheque for £90 for the credit I'm in with them. Yippeee
