THe pictures don't help but if you look at the development plans there apprears to be ample parking space.

OMG a skate park !!! not great for potential. buyers and a good solicitor will pick that up straight away0

I wonder why the OP wants to move so quickly after buying, I think it's safe to say they have opted out now .. Only 18 month in a new build seems odd even if they had one child being prepared they still have another bedroom so still room to grow for a couple of years
I can figure out that they follow the interior designers on TV with the grey theme , which isn't wrong but a bit OTT , looks like a professional couple living there as it's stylish and everything in it's place, intact a show home almost ...
Maybe that some people feel that when they walk in it maybe a little clinical and wonder why it's up for sale so quickly
Jumping from a 2 bed new build to a 4 bed new build does sound a big jump as both were premium prices and yet the thought of reducing is not really embraced
Anyways , that's me thinking out loud0 -

Even if refused this time the comments make interesting reading.
Support for the skate park include "there is nothing for youngsters to do in the village
There is a bit of history to the site where the houses are as it was playing fields not followed that up but the comments on the planning applications are things like the schools are full, the surgeries are full.
A lot of people won't check but these days it is so easy to find planning when there is the map interface
Just zoom in and set your parameters on the right.
I just did the immediate area if I was more interested in the village I would look at it all.0 -
I think it will sell if you are prepared to wait for the right buyer to come along.
However, you seem in a hurry so all you can do is reduce the price.0 -

I have been wondering about the selling so soon after buying as well. I could make an educated guess about why and I don't believe the excuse about starting a family because there is a second bedroom.
If I was going to guess about the reason for selling I would guess that it is the specific location that the house is in and the reduction in appeal of that village. I would also guess that that location is going to make it difficult to sell even at the right price which is about £155k in my estimation.0 -
Never mind why the OP is selling. That's none of our business - peoples' circumstances change all the time in ways that are obvious, and also in ways that are not. But it doesn't matter.
We should just respond to the OP as written, without getting into speculation about motive etc.0 -
Thank you quantum lobster, your comment is much appreciated. I don’t understand why people have an opinion on why we’re moving or why we’ve chosen another new build, that’s OUR choice. We’re doing it because we can and WE WANT TO.
Thank you for also pointing this out.0 -
Speculation is human nature on a public forum.
Without information one way or the other people will think ...hmm what about xxxx?? And write it.
OP, of course, can ignore such postings, or take them to heart and get defensive. Their choice.
If all we ever did was answer the question, without probing further, where would we get.
In this case, it's all only personal opinion anyway, not hard facts based. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

To be fair, if you can't get the price you want/need for your current house, then CAN you do this? How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0
