Karmacat/Deni - McDonalds have had a huge backlash on Twitter and everywhere else probably and have had to issue a statement and they have invited the girls in to discuss the issue. Shame on them.
Thanks dolly, thats good to know. Shame on them, absolutely.

    Hi Guys,

    Just checking in!

Today is NSD number 15 :T:T woohoo, might make 16 at a push.
Pay day tomorrow & I have survived with £4.50 left in my account :rotfl:
Ran to Tesco last night & got a some YS Pork chops for 91p. Might try again tonight.
My son's school is holding a party this afternoon to introduce all the kids to each other properly. he only has 3 weeks left at nursery and I am feeling a bit baffled by how quickly that time has passed.

I will definitely be looking into HFWs programme tonight, I went to River Cottage a few years ago & it was fab..

Have a lovely day all, enjoy the sunshine :)

    Yesterday was NSD #13

I think I might miss out on my NSD today as I am going to buy some stuff from the ASOS sales, show them to my mum for her expert opinion (since mums are always right), return what we don't like and my mum will give me money for what I do (for my birthday).

I don't expect to be buying anything else mind you. And come to think of it, since I will be getting the money back, have I ruined a NSD?

I'd say it would still count as a NSD - you're not spending the money - I'd count it the same as when I spend on expenses and claim the money back - as long as I get all the money back (ie: don't buy anything I can't claim for) then it's a spend which is not mine! :D

Am counting yesterday as NSD - took son to activity for which I could get free parking and used a gift card (obtained for free by someone in our house having a bday the day somewhere opened) to buy reduced pasties at end of day from Cornish bakehouse and a cup of tea from C0sta to drink whilst son was at activity :T

Today should also be NSD - can't see any reason to go near a shop.

Tidied fridge - froze soft tomatoes to make soup with at some point. Did waste 3 mushrooms which had escaped at some point and were shrivelled things at the back of the drawer and 1/3 pepper which had been hanging around for about 5 weeks and had liquified (bleurgh) Mushrooms, pepper and tomato vine bits all gone into compost bin, so at least my garden will ultimately benefit :D

Thankful for: sunny weather, and unexpected 2 shifts at work next week, a tax refund due (about £350! :T), seeing what we have in cupboards, payday!!!! :j:D

    NSD's are now 21/20.
Took a few bits to local recycling points. Things that I cannot put into communal recycling bin.
Been using up mostly what I have in. Had to buy a tiny bit of food top up shop. Nearly everything in the freezer has been used up.
Have done a shopping list/things to do for Monday.
Still playing computer games. Must stop.
Awaiting appointment letter for hospital to see a consultant, may look at the prospect of having an operation. Have to have another blood test in 2 weeks time. It is for the one that was abnormal and high.
My plan to put my flat up for sale next month is put on hold for now. It is good to know that 2 out of the 3 flats on the estate have been sold. So should not have a problem selling my flat. One took about 2 months to sell.
Trying to go out for a walk each day.

Today I am grateful for the toilet flushing reliably now (!), for a helpful IT guy at work, for lovely kids, for finishing off some stuff, for time mooching around with dd, for lunch out with a good friend, for getting the cheapest fuel around here (127.9p), for catching up with my big sis, for doing a kb workout.

    Hi all

Minimise: Large bundle of newspaper binned unearthed in our bedroom?? Also yet more weeds binned.

Bills Looking to get some secondary DG on our old windows to help with heating this place. This will be a long-term project IMHO. To that end:

Clutter: Lots to clear before even survey to do windows could be organised. Keeping going with the clutter, a little every day. I WILL get this house cleared. More clearing done, hoping that the 'puddles' will eventually join into a lake..will do another bit after this post. Trying to do a little each day, will do some more now. Also started in kitchen where I have open shelves instead of cupboards. Have done one shelf & I think it will work much better. Unholy mess on worktops now however..cleared second shelf & top of shelves, one more shelf to go. All dusty stuff now able to put into working dishwasher..yayy.

Spending: Need to budget for groceries. Starting with £300 including pet food. Have receipt ready to file, but about £35/300. No spending today.

    Unnecessary spends: None today.

Waste: No waste today, am now logging ins/outs of freezer.

    Maximise:
Dreams (dream big): Would like to fit the DG as mentioned earlier, also need the driveway doing but would be a very large amount of cash as it's so big....Clearing the clutter will help enormously with this, both financially & in the long term. Outside painting needed now, will be a big job & need scaffolding. This again will be £££. Sold 2 DVDs & was paid for those. Was paid again for the DVDs - will have to refund though..Aim to sell some items tomorrow as it is forecast to be sunny - so can photograph things & also people more inclined to buy summer clothing...that's the theory anyhow! Have sold 3 items now so will keep on with it & have transferred money into b/a. Will press on with this. Used cash to pay back joint a/c for holiday spends today. No progress as bad migraine this evening.

Fruit and veg intake: Definitely need to increase F&V consumption, on this. Fruit eaten & some veg incorporated into supper. Pretty good today, cous cous & salad veg at lunchtime, some fruit with breakfast & throughout the day, some veg with biriyani tonight.

Getting niggly jobs done: Painting inside & out, get builder to fit cowl on chimneys, get chimney swept, painting outside as well. All our jobs are niggly, but DH did get some outstanding ones done. Finally potted up some plants in pots ready to put out.

Health: Lose approx. a stone & a half. Am trying with this, helps that DD is not here. Feel slimmer - does that count? Weigh in shows no loss - no gain either though! Still on it. Not too bad today although made scones & ate one. Scone may have been eaten again. Hmm Tonight was a doughnut & DD brought back cake from her friends house party. Diet not very good today, lets see what the scales say. Weigh in today & yet again no change. Reasonable day, will keep on.

Meal Planning: Need to meal plan as tend to go with the flow, and it doesn't always work out. Have plenty of food in but still need to plan. All food from stores today & DD arrived with some more of her pantry clear out, will use some of the stuff rather than chuck it out.

Moving more - Most exercise taken as gardening. Gardening today, morning & afternoon till headache stopped me.

Time with those you love: Visit from DD briefly, only 2 days till she goes on her hols..

    NSD: now 14/15

Well thanks to your input, then yesterday was NSD 14 of the month!! My ASOS shopping list came to a whopping £310 BUT I suspect the majority might be sent back as I struggled to get my size and I wasn't sure wither it would suit me. The downside of buying clothes online.

No plans to spend today, although depending on how productive I intend to be, I could visit the SM later tonight. With visitors coming tomorrow, I might be a bit more tight on time.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and can enjoy the weather!
