    Galia melon 99p in Lidl.
I've been eating loads of fruit especially strawberries.

I also really enjoy tinned grapefruit, hope that's not too bad?

Tinned grapefruit isn't too bad @ 1.5 Syns per 100g if it's in juice but if it's in syrup that jumps to 3.5 syns per 100g.

Yes I've been buying the segments in juice.
I have started saving the juice to add to G&T at the weekend, it's lovely.

In the past I have always thrown it away!

Now only 33 minutes to go! :D

I don't think I'd syn the juice and the fruit. I'd probably count the segments as free and syn the juice, but it depends how strict you want to be. . My BIL always adds a splash of grapefruit juice to his G&T so it's a bit like those flavoured tonics. It would probably work with a splash of my NAS squash.

Had a change of plan for lunch, ended up with a tin of sardines and beetroot. So SP lunch which I needed as starting to feel fat : 3 meals out in 6 days is catching up with me. :o

I'm sure that would be OK for us target members but not sure it's the right thing for those who are still trying to get to their target.

I can't stand those flavoured tonics in my gin! If that's all that's available when I go out for meal or to the pub then I'll just have the tonic. I've got several bottles in my cupboard at the moment as my sister bought me a dozen bottles for Christmas - so far I've only drunk 2 of them and one I threw away because I really didn't like it. Also don't like the fact I have to syn them, even the Light one.

Are you having an SP day or was it just lunch?

You're right, of course. It's a bit like driving after you've taken your test : little cheats creep in. :o

I meant those slimline tonics with a hint of lime or lemon. I thought they were mostly free??

No, it was just a SP lunch. I can rarely manage more than a meal. I think I'm better off having carbs with meals than getting hungry and snacking. I have a few 'go to' meals like cottage pie but that's about it. Although bubbs manages brilliantly by filling her plate with veg. :T

Yes the slimline with hint of lemon or lime as free.

I'm like you I need the carbs to fill full up until the next meal. Even then it doesn't always work! Felt peckish the afternoon and had a couple of Lotus biscuit (the sort you get with your coffee in France!) which are 2 syns each. Bit of a waste of syns really but better than a lot of other ones.

I quite like cottage pie with the swede and carrot mash on top but unfortunately DH doesn't like it at all, although he'll eat the mash when it's on the plate as a vegetable, I just don't get it! The only thing I can think of is because he then doesn't get potatoes with it!
