Well done sary on SOTW :T

Thank you chrisv for chart :T

Another pound off this week :D, so -1lb plus a holiday for the Tuesday after please chrisv, thank you! We are off on Saturday for a week of sun in the Algarve. Will be in control of food as we are SC, intend to stay on plan, don’t drink alcohol anyway , and hope to swim lots and let OH practise his BBQing skills most evenings :D.

Was interesting seeing lady get to target at group today. Obviously she was very pleased, but she was also really worried about what to do now! So she got given this special SW booklet with guidelines and helpful tips for the next 12wks. I guess time will tell how she is managing. The gist of the booklet was that you look at your average weightloss over the last 8wks, that puts you into one of three categories. And according to which category you are, you up your HEs and your Syns by a certain number over so many days per week, and then see how you go :o.

I got my SP Sensations cookbook today, which was free when buying a 12wk countdown. 60 SP recipes! Looking forward to trying some out, it may find its way into my suitcase .

    Keep at it losers :):D:):D:).

Don't know why but can't quote at the moment. we have a new PC and it's being a nightmare to get used to so it may be me.:(

    Welcome maz.

Shame you didn't get more off this week frankie but it is a loss.:T Last week would have been a quickly on/quickly off with the holiday gain. Any way stick to the plan and you'll see results.:)

I think sary has the right idea with the coffee. There's no Pret skinny latte online but the semi skimmed is 6 syns. (cross posted with bubbs)So I'm guessing that skinny latte is made with skimmed milk and could be less. Then, if you don't use up your 2 Healthy Extra As on other milk and/or cheese that could cover your coffee. How often do you have them?:)

Thanks for the heads up on the skinny syrup vegastare. I was complaining the other day about how 'skinny' they are. Obviously I don't mind them being skinny on syns but they're very 'thin' compared with golden syrup. I wonder if the topping is any thicker? If it's meant to stick to ice cream then maybe it is. I'll check when I'm in TKMaxx later in the week. :)

Another good SW day planned. I'm out for lunch on Thursday so going easy on syns. :)

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onion, cornichons and beetroot
D: baked salmon, SW chips, carrot chips, asparagus, mange tout and broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms
    Syns: NONE!

I think I may have one of those books but I've never read it. :o I don't think it would work for my lifestyle though because I eat out too much. I was super strict with wise choosing when I was getting to target or even avoided invitations. I wouldn't do that long term so I prefer to stay on plan whenever I can and save syns for weekends and eating out. When it's my holiday I'll have whatever I want, although having done SW for 8 years I now prefer lots of SW friendly choices). I'll enjoy my holiday and then get back to SW afterwards. It's a bit of a roller coaster but it suits me. :)

That's spooky sary. I was only thinking about Wicksteed Park earler. When I was a child my dad used to work in the area (Irthlingborough) for a couple of weeks every year when one of his managers was on leave. While he was working we used to go to the park day after day. It must have had every swing ever invented. Sheer heaven for children. :)

I was thinking yesterday how well you'd done to get such a great loss.:T Do you think it's easier to follow the plan when you're off school?:)

I'm back on plan 100% today.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA1 milk, half banana, skinny syrup
L: ham, LO fried veg, beetroot
D: SW Bolognese, tagliatelle. HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns: NONE!!:D

Yes I seem to lose more when off school :)

If you remember I started my SW journey week before long summer hols and lost loads before I went back :D

I am also off this week so lets hope its another loss ...

Evening all! Well done on SOTW Sary! Thanks as always to Chris! Welcome to the newbies!

I'm having a go at the baked tomato risotto tonight (small recipe in the mag this month, its basically risotto rice with stock, tinned toms, onion and garlic) with some salmon - just in the oven now so I'll let you know what it's like :)

EDIT - Verdict: took way longer than the stated 30 mins and is a bit bland. I feel it could be easily pepped up though.

Well done on your loss vegastare. I'm not good with holiday advice. Probably the best plan is what denise says which is 'Be good when you can'. There's not much point going on holiday if you don't at least sample some local dishes and have a few treats. One good thing is that Mediterranean countries do have loads of vegetables. Sardines and salad would be good!:) It might be worth taking some Frylight with you and some low calorie salad dressing.

Yes, I do remember tweets. And IIRC some of your colleagues were shocked and a bit jealous. :D

I decided to have some chocolate last night so that's 7 syns but it's over 2 days so hardly a game changer. The problem is that if I eat early because I'm going out I'm hungry later. Usually I'm good and have a SW friendly snack but I just fancied some chocolate.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: Frying up various odds and ends from fridge (potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onions etc) and having it with ham and beetroot
D: sausages, fried onions, mash, cauli, broccoli
Syns: BGTY sausages 2, gravy 4? HP sauce 1
