It's a funny old world the virus has resulted in levels of spending I'd have never believed possible. We have socialism by the back door and the brexit dividend, (if there ever was one) up in smoke.

Is there going to be any money left for spaceports, launching our own GPS system, levelling up the North and all those other brexiteer pipe dreams?

Nope - All used up for decades and we are staying in EC

That "EC" of yours is going to be very, very different post-apocolypse.
When Italy has to rely on communist help from the likes of Russia and China because it's "partners" in the "EC" are immobilised by panic and indecision ( and don't for one mad minute think that Italy will be alone ) it's obvious that the "union" is broken.
  • The EU is broken. Reverting to a bunch of nation states fighting for their survival while the EU does nothing but issue platitudes.

Shengen is dead. The EU has suspended its fiscal rules. It can’t agree a budget. As an organisation, it’s become irrelevant.
The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.

So is (or shortly will be...) the UK too - so "re join" the club).

You stand not one single snowflake's chance in hell of that, thanks to Boris being elected.
We have left and the default  should no agreements be forthcoming is that we're out.

Evidence please that anything has changed re:Brexit; that anything has changed re: the transition period; and that anything has changed re:the UK leaving completely on 31st December 2020?

Are you not aware of the virus that has affected the whole of Europe ?
That will not give us time to get any financial agreement organised and will mean a NO DEAL
Which will mean even more broke for even longer

I doubt that the UK will wish to keep subsidising the other member states. Given the state of the nations finances.

Excellent. Better to start from WTO and work up than start from EU overarch and work down.
