afternoon guys
I feel like I've been quite productive and on top of things today - probably more a "feeling" than a reality! I am today starting to feel better. I started another medication yesterday and apart from feeling a little drowsy (am hoping as it gets in my system this will pass) I feel better than I have in weeks!
Up until now I have made a ironing board cover as ours was in a terrible state - used an old sheet with a nice pattern and elastic in stores - and repaired something of oh's for football protection, should last a bit longer
I paid cc in fullalso paid a couple of bills
checked on seeds - broccoli is germinating
still to do:
* vacuum & polish
* make meat sauce for lasagna in pc
* pick up some sweets for madam for after school. Might make browning instead though....
* read free book
* early night
Not much, still taking it easy!DF as at 30/12/16

[STRIKE]* quick tidy up and pack up things needed for today while poppets are out[/STRIKE]
* need to clear my car out as it's a massive mess!
* read free book - loving it. Have maybe 11 days to finish and maybe even read the next in the series for free!

[STRIKE]* pack up madam's bag with cake making and slime making ingredients [/STRIKE]

Morning determined sounds like you have a lovely day planned. Enjoy!
I've got a few things to do today:
Get some mince out of freezer. Will make lasagne later. Will put some dough in BM to make a HM garlic and herb tear and share.
Make crumble using variety of fruit in fridge and crumble mix from freezer
Finally paid money from sale in to 1p account. Now at 73% achieved only just over a third of the way through the year :j
Vacuum through
Change last bed for the week
Some homework with the smalls so we can forget about it for the rest of the long weekend
Out for a walk or digging in the garden later, depending on what the weather does. No spending either way.
Have a good day, Purps.0 -
Morning all :coffee: :hello:
I wish I'd woken up to a glorious day DNMS - but it was definitely sleeting outside here when I let the cats in this morning... The sun keeps trying to peek through so it's definitely going to be good rainbow weather (I do like rainbow spotting).
Thank you all for your kind words and support about ex... he's still missing but there has been some positive news from the police so I'm relieved and back to being angry rather than worried now. It is a very long and boring story ditty, but I am so grateful for the support and reassurance I get on here... Goodness knows how much longer it's going to go on, but he is actually my ex husband so not my concern. I've reassured the kids and that's the important thing.
It's only the 4th and I'm already stony broke for the month. Gutted, but not surprised. I have enough to survive, and that's the most important thing. We had a good Easter break and that's why things are tight now so it was definitely worth it.
Plans for today -
All meals from stores
Going out for a couple of hours this afternoon with my sister. We're taking my mam to get a tattoo for her birthday (already paid for).
Relax with a cuppa, catching up on here and reading a book that someone at work has lent to me - he insists it will make me laugh out loud, which I kind of feel like I need at the moment.
Possibility that my sister and bestie are coming round tonight for dinner and drinks (all from stuff we already have in).
Usual housework stuff - washing, recycling etc.
Plan some meals for the week ahead - I have veggies in the fridge starting to look a bit sad (always too many carrots in my life).
Have a good day everyone! Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Afternoon all
Phew! DD and the children have just gone. Will be putting the house back together shortly! :rotfl:
Managed to get some stuff done before they arrived:
HG fruit from freezer with breakfast
Load of washing now blowing on the line
Hung yesterday's still damp washing in airing cupboard to finish off
Hoovered and dusted bedroom :T
Looked in my packaging stash for a decent small paper carrier bag in lieu of a gift bag for son-in-law's birthday present (looks posher than a supermarket gift bag anyway) and found a suitable card in the bureau.
Bit of ironing
Made some jellies for the children, and some with fruit in for low calorie desserts for us (kids don't like 'bits' in theirs :rotfl:)
Chopped and froze some kale that was languishing in the fridge
Used a bag that had contained bagels, instead of a bought freezer bag
Washed out another bag that had been used for frozen fruit, pegged on the line, now dry and ready to be used again
Stuff from the fridge and HG salad leaves for lunch for everyone
Walked in to town, small spends in CS (a top for me and a toy for GD)
Now need to water seedlings and sort out something we already have for dinner!0 -
Put a load of washing in the machine on Thursday evening, and finally got it on the line (and dried) this morning.
Plucked up my courage and did the video interview - not expecting much, it was just too weird. Kept looking at myself on the screen and thinking 'God, you look like your mother', which wasn't the look I was going for!!! Didn't do anything AT ALL for my confidence.
Took my frustration out on the grass - cut it, trimmed the edges, continued to tie back the clematis (which is rapidly forming a screen to make the garden a bit more private, but needs to be tended to every day at this time of the year). Many many years ago my Dad gave me some really good advice about gardening - if the edges of the grass are trimmed, everything else will look fab. Thanks Dad! It's saved me a lot of time over the years! The weather was lovely, so made myself a smoothie (using two unloved bananas and a couple of superannuated satsumas, some milk and a dollop of natural yogurt) and drank it outside. I find smoothies are a really good way to use up fruit that's been around for too long.
Then off to the chiropodist to have a corn removed. She gave me a 'mini' appointment (£17 for 15 minutes rather than £35 for 30 minutes) because it was only a little job - I didn't know they did that!! And it feels so much better, so money well spent.
Tea tonight was tuna and pasta. There were some leftovers in the fridge, so I added that to the mix, and now I've eaten too much!! I won't be bothering with pudding...No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Morning all :hello:
Just a few jobs on the list before we're away to some friends:
Washing on and out on airer
Smalls to swimming (already paid)
Go for a run
Long walk later with friends, hopefully see some bluebells
Flylady bathroom
Triage fridge
Have a good day folks. Purps.0 -
Morning all!
DNMS - glad to hear you sounding better
ccl - glad that there is some positive news - it must be worrying for you in terms of the kids
Good to "see" everyone else and read your exploits!
Another busy weekend for me. I keep feeling like I've done nothing but there's quite a bit really:
:heartpuls Took duvet to laundrette. Found out last time that we can fit it into the smaller machine, thus saving £1.20
:heartpuls Trimmed back bay tree and golden box that were getting out of control
:heartpuls Added a plastic collar inside the bird feeder to stop the squirrel hoofing all the seed out the bottom
:heartpuls Planted out a load of flower plants including the lupins and lavatera that foxgloves kindly sent me
:heartpuls Potted up tomatoes and beans into their big pots
:heartpuls Using saved bath water for flushing the loo
:heartpuls Went to a wedding reception and managed not to spend any money!
:heartpuls Made wedding card from bits in stash and potted up a plant from the garden into a wombled mini galvanised bucket and tarted up with ribbon as a free gift
:heartpuls Started a stash busting baby blanket
:heartpuls Made some face scrub from used coffee grounds and a dab of olive oil. It was FAB!
:heartpuls Made some soup
:heartpuls Made a loaf
Today's mission:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores - done
:heartpuls Charge phone in work - done
:heartpuls Crochet baby blanket - done
:heartpuls Water plants in greenhouse
:heartpuls Wash on 30 deg and peg out - done
:heartpuls Not doing anything tonight despite being off for BHM tomorrow - done
:heartpuls See if I can pinch a bit of wire from work to try and repair the peanut feeder - the squirrel has bitten right through and is hoofing all the peanuts out in a day
:heartpuls Set some yogurt to strain - done
:heartpuls Remind OH to send his invoice - done
:heartpuls Check PMP - they stopped sending me reminders and i forgot for a few days - done
:heartpuls Attempt to revive some very shriveled beetroots by soaking them - done
:heartpuls Check credit report - done
Have a good one all
