    HI
    Jobs for today
Get out of bed, I have been sleeping in for a few days as dropped DS off at school on the way to school, it's an excuse to leave a bit later, and it cheers us both up.
Go to work, I really just want to sit at home and look out of the window!
Called water company, as got massive bill, have decided to probably just pay it as pushing it forwards just spreads the pain. And part of my new accountability plan is to just get it over with, when I get a large bill.
Tonight I became a joiner - went to a coached running session, am very excited and have very sore feet!
I also managed to call the agency I sometimes work for and they got me some work for tomorrow so am incredibly grateful, as this will pay over half of unwelcome water bill.
Managed to keep it a NSD day, hopefully won't spend any money till Friday as yesterday was a manically expensive pay day.
Will check on all my plants tomorrow, as need to water, and I might be able to eat rocket.
    Good night to all.

    Morning Campers,
A huge job list planned for today & must fit in time to pop out & vote too.
In fact, why am I on here?
Will get myself moving, attack my list with gusto & report back later.
    Cheers,

    Morning all.

Not sure about the weather here in Derbyshire today so I will do the washing later on pop on the airer overnight to dry.

    Today:

    * A very minimal spend today on cobs for tomorrows lunches.
    * Shopping being done tomorrow with my mum which saves me petrol plus I go to the supermarket with cheaper fuel too
    * Breakfast from stores, lunch is last nights veggie leftovers, tea will be whatever is in the house due to delayed shopping trip
    * main payment to CC and also my daughters dancing fees are due. Big hit to the bank balance
    * Son at taekwondo tonight but I think that has already been paid
    * Finally finished my 2 papercuts for my manager so a bit more £££ into the Yorkshire weekend away pot
    * Make some plans for the weekend - low cost

    Have a great day all

Brednall - We're in a neighbouring county to you & so far we've had no rain here, but the nice warm sunshine we had earlier this morning is disappearing & quite a lot of clouds are gathering. Mr f texted from work to say there's massive rain there but he's further north. Hope we do get some, though as the garden is still very dry. Ooooh, it's just started as I've typed this.

OK, am on my lunch now, so can spare a little time for f*rting around on t'internet.
    Today's frugal jobs:
*Budget update & paid a couple of budgeted transactions off a 'Just for points' CC.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & work snacks.
*Planted out 2 trays of home grown plants - one from a free packet of seed & the other from foraged seed.
*Surplus beef chunks in slow cooker for smoky chilli tonight - love the SC for busy evenings...need to go out & vote as well as have another attempt to get a repeat prescription from surgery in town.
    *Did next week's meal plans.
*Did 2 surveys. Over £40 again on Prolific now.
    *Mended a favourite top.
*Knit more of sleeve - looking forward to doing this later when I get in & am full of chilli.
*Added more recycled gift wrap to my stash, plus 2 gift bags that look like they've never been used. *Recycled a few nice Easter cards into gift tags using ribbons from my sewing box.
*Bake sourdough - it's proving in the conservatory atm.
*Checked OLB for a transfer I made last Friday & had forgotten to check it was there. It is.
*Updated my contact details with fish wholesaler - I think we have now informed everyone we no longer have a landline. I don't want to miss out on their lovely fish boxes, as I like that i can portion it all up to the size/amount I need, before freezing it.
    *Update my DFW diary.
I have other things to do, but that is pretty much the money saving bits for today.
Hope everyone's having a pleasant & productive day,
    F x

Trying to have a NSD. Suitably inspired by the other good examples to be read on here.

Left the car on the drive today and got the bus part of the way to work, walked the rest. Will walk the whole way back, unless it tips it down (walk takes about an hour).

Evening all, Nice to see new & old posters on the thread :)
Its been a busy/stressful few days but here are some of the "small things" that helps to keep us on track.
    * eaten from stores
    * left purse/bag at home when not needed
    * did online chat thing with holiday company and got an extra discount off the online price I'd got, saved an extra £90
    * washing done on the quick wash and hung outside
    * dishwasher run on the quick wash
    * packed lunches made for the family
    * banking checked
    * last of the rubber chicken for tea tonight, making it into a pasta salad dish
    * refilled water bottle at the gym
    * paid judo subscriptions up front for the term for a small discount over the weekly cost

I'm sure I've done lots more but thats all I can think of now! Take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

    Evening all,

So this is how far i got with todays plans

•get some shopping either by online or pop in shop - did online shop its come and all put away and a whole 43p under budget
    • do a load of washing...have done none today as weather was rubbish so couldnt put on the line -done but had to put dryer on but only for a short amount of time
•general housework - not done much as feel poorly
    •work all day - done
•dd is off tomorrow due to voting so i will drop her with inlaws for free childcare!- done and came back with 2 new outfits a new book and some chocolate :j
•no idea whats for tea yet...maybe sc spagbol as i wont be back until lateish and will be quick and stop me from eating junk from the freezer!- had this and really enjoyed it
•make some plans for the weekend so we dont get bored and go and spend money we dont have!- not done yet maybe just end up a chilling weekend and maybe pop to the park on sunday for an hour

So now i have read back i feel quite pleased as today has been more productive than i realised...had to get petrol and was starving an feeling poorly i got a cheap packet of biscuits and a multipack of chocolates..they may not be very sw friendly but sometimes you just have to indulge cost me £1.45 but i opted for a 4 packet of chocolates as 1 in a garage would have cost about the same :money: and thats it for today

    Tomorrows plans;
    •Work until lunch
•dd got swimming lessons (will take snacks for after with me)
•dd off school again but with oh tomorrow as hes off too so no driving to childcare :j
    • i forgot some bits off the shopping so will pop into a shop to get those maybe l!dl after work as it has the bits i need and the cheapest shop that sells them all
    • usual housework but without washing :j
•cross off payments i have made in my diary and write meal plan in there...i havent done this before but it may help me not forget what i have got in
Thats it so far nothing to big but enough to make me feel successful in becomming a dfw

    Have a great evening all
