mortgage direct debit day today; balance is £13,534.88. Will have to wait until further into month to make any overpayments just to be on safe side. My “current” plan is working ok, let’s hope it’s my final plan and my new revised (and revised and revised again 🤣) target is met 🤞

made another OP of £183 so mortgage is £13,200. My mortgage payment date is the 10th so fingers crossed when that payment goes out it should drop into the 12s. Expensive month for May and it’s half term the last week. We went to Whitby with my sister on Saturday and spent more than I should have and that’s only the first of many arrangements in May, I’m sure I’ll keep on track though 🤞

I feel your pain with May. I don’t want to wish time away but I get impatient to get past the expensive weeks. It looks like you’re on track to make it to your sub 10K target by Oct / Nov 🥳

well May has bled me dry 🤦‍♀️. It was pay day yesterday thank goodness and school is back on Monday. I have some expenses in June but they should be more manageable. Luckily it’s also double child benefit this month. As it’s paid every 4 weeks one month a year you get a payment in the first week and last week of the month. I have also done both my 10k races during May 🥳. Last Sunday was a killer; 24C heat and a 1 in 3 hill between 1.5 and 3 Km (yes I did walk up some of it along with masses of other people). Was pleased with my times given my recent running endeavours and my age: flat race was 1:08:14 and hilly hot one was 1:15:14. I have also inspired my son 🤞our local running club does 2.5k run/walk beginner sessions so we are booked in for Monday evening. I’m considering joining the club for training advice and the social aspect as I do sometimes feel a bit isolated due to my son’s issues. However going out for a run on my own is one of the few things I get away with doing. Didn’t make my target on mortgage overpayments for May, was short by £120 on my self imposed targets but should still be ok. Have breakdown cover for car to pay in June and also car insurance but they are already saved for. My energy fix ends in June too but 🐙 haven’t been in touch yet with any offers so I’ll be looking at that soon. Mortgage is now £12,830 so decreasing nicely 😁
