Chilli seeds bought.  Another meeting today which I filled school in on the issues he displays at home after masking all day at school.  He’s doing really good at school behaviour wise; 10% red marks where average is 20% and 100% attendance where average is 90. Seeing adoption social worker tomorrow and she is going to meet him for the first time.  I was told today by current SW that she’s has never known anybody be refused funding from the Adoption Support Fund once they have got as far as the meeting stage.  Fingers crossed 🤞

Feeling a bit deflated ☹️. So firstly the adoption placement report written 13 years ago for my son is the worse with regards to information she has ever seen.  She is going to try and find out more because there really isn’t much to tell my son when he starts asking (which he is starting to do).  Can’t do anything with therapy until we know more as therapist needs full info to help.  Money available isn’t much, will only pay for 3-4 months therapy, nothing spare to do dyslexia assessment or to send me on a parenting course to help me handle with his outbursts.  It was suggested I try to get him a mentor.  She gave me details of a charity that do it; they open it up 4 times a year and literally close it 30 mins after it’s opened due to demand.  Anyway I’m on their newsletter mailing list as that’s where you find out when it’s opening.  So at the moment I’m exactly where I was.  I’ve also decided to sign up for a 10km in all this madness 🤣. I’m not a fast runner but getting out with music on helps my mental health.  I’m thinking if I have a target to aim for I can’t let my running slip no matter how fed up I feel 🏃‍♀️

  • So sorry,  its disappointing news 😞

I think the run is a good idea, you need to do something for you.

I find running is great for stress relief and signing up for an event will force you to get out and train.
