@Jessy103 I need to report squeaky lamb is now minus one squeak and is currently removed pending surgery to a stuffing out spill 🤦♀️. Mortgage is now 16,671. There will be further payments in December but just hanging back due to Christmas spending. I’ve just sent my best friend some surprise letterbox flowers to say thank you; don’t worry I got 20% off! I’ve had a really tough year and as we have been best friends for nearly 50 years her support has been invaluable. She won’t be expecting anything so hoping it will be a lovely surprise. I’ve set myself an ambitious target for the next 22 months and also a very ambitious target all with the aim of getting rid of the mortgage by October 2027. It depends at what point I decide s*d it and wipe out my small amount of savings on the basis they would get replaced by around £700 per month. There is also an interest rate review on Thursday so if it drops I’ll get a recalculation to my monthly mortgage payment. It doesn’t make much difference to the amount as the balance is low but those few pounds all help. My son is at a birthday party this afternoon and is being taken and dropped off so I’ll get a couple of hours peace 😁SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Dec 2025 £16,570 2025 OP £2874/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £5360/£21,930 (24.44%)7

Oh no! I feel your pain, I've had to carry out emergency surgery on several cuddly toys. I had to put one in the bin the other day though after it had its face ripped off again and could no longer be repaired. Dog 2 is a psycho 🤣
You got this with the new target of Oct 27! 👍Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000. Mortgage Free November 2025!1 -
Hi Hetty - I have just read all of your diary. I am seriously impressed with both your parenting and your OP'ing!

Totally agree with allocating the bank the junk and the cupboard under the stairs as the 6% they still own!
I can't see any further update about support from the social worker. Did that ever progress?

Hi @KajiKita so I have managed to progress things to a point, although as this has been going on since the summer and he hasn’t actually seen anyone yet I’m not impressed. I have managed to get support through a local charity to help him with dealing with his anger. Someone came to the house last week to meet us and starting in January she will see him at school for an hour every 2 weeks. He’s brilliant at masking so school think he’s an angel but as soon as he gets home……let’s just say he’s not. With regards to getting help through the adoption support fund I have a 3 hour meeting booked with a SW on 7th January. He wasn’t adopted where we live now so they need to see all the reports and background etc. They suspect he’s got adoption trauma even though he was removed at birth and came to me at 10 months. They mentioned that something called EMDR is very successful so I wait to see.SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Dec 2025 £16,570 2025 OP £2874/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £5360/£21,930 (24.44%)2

Sounds quite tough on both you and your son ...
I'm missing something here - if he's good at masking at school and then vents (for want of a better word) when he gets home, wouldn't it be better if he was observed at home? Or is it thought that the triggers to his 'venting' are happening in school?

Its like an anger management type stuff if that makes sense. They are delivering it at school for him as they see a few children there and also he will have to concentrate and engage with it. Its ultimate aim is to stop him getting angry as he will have other ways to cope with his feelings. The EMDR therapy is to help him with his feelings of low self esteem and self worth which have so many ways of showing themselves, none of which are exactly appropriate. I'm hoping he can start feeling happier about himself and more settled with a better coping mechanism.SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £660.03[ SPC 19 ?COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; Dec 2025 £16,570 2025 OP £2874/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £5360/£21,930 (24.44%)3
