Oh bless him, it really is awful to see them in such a state. Hopefully the rules they're bringing in for 2026 will make a bit of a difference, but I don't think they go far enough 😔 Luckily our three are quite good with fireworks but I think that's only because we live rurally with bird scarers and shooting going on a lot they've got used to loud bangs.

Wishing you all the best for the mortgage ops for this year, you'll smash it x

What rules are those @Jessy103? I’ve not heard anything.

I believe they've changed when you're allowed to buy them/when shops are allowed to sell them (only certain times of the year and not all year round) and then what times you are allowed to set them off.

Interesting, and positive (I quite like fireworks but preferably silent and public displays).
But if people don’t know about the new rules (and I didn’t) how will they know what’s expected of them …? 🤔🤷‍♀️

We live in a suburban area and bonfire night was horrendous.  They started going off at Halloween and didn’t stop until the weekend after the 5th.  He wasn’t too bad when we first got him but he’s gradually got worse; rescue so we think early life in racing kennels was not the best ☹️.  I have an as adaptil permanently on, he has doggy calming meds (yumove calm me), he had his thundershirt on and the Alexa was playing doggy calming music all night.  Picture included of happier hound
