Absolutely agree with this. We have a 3 year move plan which has changed all house decisions
    Good point. Thanks Redo :)

Great that you've found somewhere to work!
Thanks jwil :) It has taken long enough. I do feel relieved
UPVC is usually cheaper and many people prefer it because it needs less maintenance. I hope you can squirrel proof your home soon.

Good news that you've found somewhere to work for free :).
Thanks HH I agree re UPVC being the best option and I it makes such a difference knowing I have somewhere appropriate to work.

Yesterday I went to the GP and blood tests are back that show I have a health issue. :( It is only since slowing down I have had time to go to the GP and notice some of the things that have been wrong and realise they should not be happening (if that makes sense) Anyway, I don’t want to be public about it, but it means I will have to look after myself better than I have been. I spent the day moping and feeling sorry for myself :(. Tomorrow I will go to the gym, have a lovely shower and get out of the house. I did not use today well.

I called an Osteopath and I now have an appointment next week. ;)

The other thing I did today was book a return to the retreat I was at earlier in the Autumn. I used some of the money I had saved for Christmas presents to pay the deposit (Happy Christmas to me) I will be going in the Spring and the thought of it should pull me through Winter. They invited me to apply for a bursary and a travel grant so I will do that and see how I get on.;)

    No frogs eaten. Not one.

Going to watch rubbish TV and start afresh tomorrow ;)

Grateful for: aromatherapy oils (burning bergamot tonight) fairy lights, and the cherry trees given to London by the Japanese. :)

Wishing you all a relaxing evening :)

Always a blessing to have something to look forward to when it’s gloomy. I feel like that with my Feb Cornwall holiday
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Sorry to hear about your health issue DIA .
You have been through a lot , but are doing so well in reshaping your future . As I say life is crap , but a bull by the horns approach is the best way forward imho and I think that you'll adapt to everything that comes your way from now on . Stick with your goals and eventually you'll get used to everything in a good way . Hope that makes sense

Try to avoid the rubbish tv tho ;)

Also sorry to read about your health issue.
At least you know now & can move on with resolving it.

Good news on the retreat to look forward to :)

    Thanks guys :)

    Onwards and upwards. ;)

A friend picked me up a gin advent calendar reduced from £60 to £15. Beanie has posted about pink gin before, but I have yet to try any. There are pink gins in it! So excited! I took the calendar apart so I can survey my bounty. Cheating I know :o

Cinema with a friend on Thursday so I will take her a little bottle of gin, mini tonic and a few luxury chocolates. I will toast some cashews in rosemary and sea salt and put in a small jar too with a vintage glass (that she can keep) all in a little gift bag and we shall feast during the film. Naughty but nice…;)

Window company I used last Christmas for the big bay contacted me offering a good reduction so I will (probably) put in the last of the windows at the front and the side window that is sucking damp into the wall from the rotten frame as my next project. It isn’t the next logical job, but it needs doing and the trade is available.

The FROG I am working on today is getting the finance in place so I can do the windows

    Grateful for:
    Flowers in a vintage flask
    A visit from a friend
Being able to change an appointment without being charged

Wishing you all a great start to the week :)
