That's a good plan - either that or choose to do something else in the morning that will absorb your attentionIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

A much less angsty day for me
Spent the morning catching up with friends including a tricky phone call frog and feeling better for it.
I managed to get a wash done and outside. The washing is not quite dry, but almost.
Tried to join the gym but I am not old enough for the deal! I would have to pay an extra £10 a month. Hmmm…I need to have a think…Nothing is ever just straightforward is it?
Went for a 30 minute walk as it did not rain for the first time in days! Nice to have the sun on my face for a change.
YS shopping for freezable protein. Sea bass and salmon £5 a pack reduced to £1.80, so a handful of those. Diced lamb half price in Ald1. Enough fruit for the week all YS. :T
Agreed to go to the Tutankhamen next weekend. It isn’t cheap  and I suspect it will be horridly overcrowded but I still want to go.
A quick tidy up and then some ironing to do before settling down to Phillip P programme. I know, what an exciting life eh? I hope you all have a relaxing eveningIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Well done on getting the tradesmen in. I'm the same, horribly anxious when waiting for people!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thanks jwil
I woke up hungry. My weight is going down, as I am intermittent fasting but I always wake up hungry when I eat this way. Today I am making pumpkin (YS 30p for a bag) and red bean quinoa. I have a chicken pot roasting and I have lots of YS Brussel sprouts. I have quite a few lemons so probably a tahini lemon sauce too. Total yum.
Yesterday I heard back from another plumber who could not help as I am out of the area. So, I will contact another plumber today. (FROG)
I have chased the window supplier to no avail so I have drawn a blank there.
The pre paid garden waste collection comes this week so at a bare minimum the vast collection of rotten apples spread on my lawn will be collected today
I don’t know what to do about the gym….should I suck up the extra £11 a month and just pay it despite it being almost double what I expected at £23 a month. I could try and then cancel it if I don’t use it enough?
I have 2 Lid1 vouchers. I was going to do a split shop and get all the Christmas treat shopping in. They expire on Thursday.
Then there is the giant frog that is on the drive. I should call the Ay Ay and see what the issue is…(FROG)
Wishing you all a positive dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Regarding the builders and trades people in general , I'd treat them like you'd treat estate agents . I'd have the description of jobs I want done and get three people from a thorough search online and let them assess it and tell them you'll get back to them and hopefully choose the right one . Never pay cash , only bank transfer in instalments .
Never pay too much in one go . I had a guy who claimed he could do everything , but he wanted 50% upfront . I listened and the next day I phoned him and politely told him I had a better offer. Sorry for 5he rambling , as I'm out of sorts today .
As for the gym , if you are committed then maybe it's worth the extra?
Not worth it if you don't go much .0 -

I agree with AC hun, we have a rolling contract with our gym and we only have to give a months notice if we want to cancel it...may be worth looking at?0

Yesterday I spent one of my £10 off £40 vouchers on wine and freezable Christmas food. I have another but I genuinely don’t think I need anything else and there tend to be lots of YS goodies about over the period too so I’m leaving it there.;)
I bought a bunch of freesia’s reduced to £1. I added some greenery from the garden and they are in a jam jar. Lovely!:)
I have rethought the way I book tradesmen. I have 2 booked for Saturday (morning so I don’t fret all day) and both on the same morning so I only need to get sick with nerves once. So 2 FROGS swallowed in one sitting.
I have been in furniture moving mode. It’s a good thing as I am forced to clean behind the moved furniture
The veg box arrives on Friday so I made a huge batch of soup to use up the veggies in the fridge
I am surprised to report the house is not that untidy and the dishes are up to date. Hmmm, good news but I think it might be a reflection on my lack of project work… so I will spend the afternoon doing that.
I hope you are all having positive days out thereIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

You've done the right thing by seeing the builders at that time . That's what I did DIA
It means they're not sweating between jobs and gives them time to have a beer or 2 afterwards . Hope it all works out ..
