My year of living dangerously

Yesterday
Rain, rain, rain.
The gardeners can’t do the back garden due to the rain. They hope to do it next week if it is dry enough.
My neighbours are getting on my nerves. I want to move away from them.
Feeling a bit out of sorts today. A bit nervy too. I resisted both chocolate and crisps in the supermarket. There are other ways…I came home and put the kettle on instead.
Returned one of the two items needing to be returned.:money:
Letter posted to friend abroad (been in my bag for 10 days) :T
All travel tickets for Scotland have now been purchased. :T
A warning light came on intermittently in my car, need to look up what it means. More importantly I need to bite the bullet with finding a trustworthy local garage. My car needs work! My friend has recommended hers and you have to trust someone along the line…I am making this a priority for next week. Monday afternoon. I will go then. Said it now.
I expected my mood to drop and it has. It is fine. I was a bit demob happy anyway. Life is up and down.
Today
I woke up feeling better than yesterday. I hope my mood lifts even higher.

Sorry to hear your neighbours are annoying you again DIA
I see similarities to my first diary where everything gets unbearable until finally you can escape it all. Hang on in there .
It is natural to feel crappy when you're faced with 2's and 3's after a few really good weeks . If that was me , I would've had the chocolate and crisps
Have a good weekend0 -
Thanks AC
It's still all good, just not 'as good' if that makes sense. Not feeling crappy at all, just a bit nervy and yes neighbours are bugging me. I hope it doesn't become unbearable but I must keep on doing improvements so I can escape!
My friend likes a glass of wine so might break my AF since August and have a glass later and even some crisps ACIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The trip to the gallery with one glass of wine turned into three glasses of wine and an expensive lunch. Hmmm. Half my weekly budget has gone. I don't regret it exactly, but I will be mindful of seeing this person more than one a month as I am a wimp and always overspend in her (fantastic) company. I just can't afford to spend like that but she can, so we are mismatched and she doesn't really get it (and she doesn't have to) Anyway, it is up to me to manage my money better! And I will!
Very wet and miserable out. Later, whatever the weather, I will go for a walk (2 miles) and return an item and check in SD (thanks SSG2) for trainers. I can't drive until the car is sortedWill see if I can find a computer mouse.
Cleaning and decluttering are ongoing...don't seem to be making a huge amount of progress...
Going to buy some coconut milk so I can make a big red Thai vegetable curry tomorrow.

I had a quote for one of my windows today. I didn't like the company rep so wouldn't use them anyway but they are also more expensive. I just called the original company to check on something and will probably proceed with them. Arranged for a talk tomorrow.
I just reinstated my garden waste collection. It costs £75 for 26 collections. £2.88 per collection. I am having car issues so it makes life easier. In the longer term even with a car it is simply easier to arrange a collection and factoring in time and petrol it may even be cheaper…Either way outside jobs waiting to be done make me feel stressed so it will make life easier and that feels important right now.
I now have my computer mouse so I just need some software now.
Washing done and out drying until the expected rain comes...
I had all summer but failed to sort my duvets out so I've been cold for a few weeks. My washing machine is too small as is my local laundry. I could have bought a new one for £13 but mine is feather and down so today I put it in the cleaners it at a cost of £21. I get it back on Thursday. I can't wait
I have an important application to do today so off to crack on with that.
