  • Good to see you keep pushing forward DIA .
Hopefully you get the squirrel situation sorted out tomorrow .
Hoping you have a proper professional also . They can be very aggressive . They also hate ammonia . Banging on the ceiling with a broomstick helps as they don't like noise . Yes really :)
    Hope things improve
  • You have my sympathy with the squirrels, I am sure mine will be back as the hole still hasn't been sorted. I banged on the ceiling with a broomstick as well when it all got to much.

Everything seems to be moving forward for you , I hope you have a good time in Scotland.
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

Thanks AC :) Yes he is a professional but it is a hit and miss affair and so far it has been miss...

    A good day today.

The squirrel appointment took place. I have the traps set up for the squirrels. Psychologically it makes me feel better whether we are successful or not.
An added bonus is the squirrel man has given me the number of a builder who might be able to do the fascias. Funny how one thing can lead to another. ;)

Garden waste collection came. Must ensure I keep filling it up so I get good value. So began filling the bin again and added forty apples picked up from the garden.

After another cold night I went to collect my duvet again. Still not arrived. It is the second time I have been. Paying fares (£6 so far) and taking time and I will have to go again. So I complained, calmly and politely to the manager. I was refunded the £21 duvet cost of the delayed duvet, so I bought some groceries including a treat smoky tea (on offer) :money:

I walked but only 1 mile. Anyway, I found a bike repair shop newly opened. I spoke to the owner who seems nice. He agreed a price to replace bike tyres so I will be taking it there in the morning :)

I kept pushing through and it seemed to pay off today :)

  • That sounds like a productive day DIA :).

I hope the squirrels get caught, I had no idea squirrels could be such a nusiance. You were very assertive about the delayed duvet and got a good result :).

I hope you can get your bike fixed.

Fab news on the refund. Hope it gets sorted soon though. I too never knew that squirrels could cause house damage.

Hope the squirrels decamp soon! I never thought before that squirrels could be such a nuisance because they get in lofts. I always thought they just lived in trees! Must be because the lofts are nice and warm!

Good for you in negotiating your duvet refund!

    Have a good weekend!

Thanks SSG58 and SHs. Squirrels are indeed a pest when they come into lofts! I am pleased about my duvet cost refund but now I just want them back (they have 2 of them) I thought it was super expensive anyway so good to get refunded for the cost of one of them ;)
