Cue spooky music..just as I pressed send on the above message I had a ping to say I had got a message, and I've just sold a book!
This is th eone and for info even after my sale the ranking stays at 509,333
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0552094773/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
I had it listed for about 2 weeks and the ranking was higher when I listed it than it is now.
I sold a copy of this a few weeks ago! One of those weird ones perhaps - a mass market paperback which still sells quickly - mine was quite an old copy and sold within a couple of weeks too :T . To kill a mockingbird was one of those too sold a old heavily tanned copy for about £4 once on ebay when i would have thought they could have got a new copy.
What ever the reason well done, perhaps the end of month wages are being paid and things will pick up beginning of Dec...Ho! Ho! Ho!0 -
How very odd..I sold 'To Kill a mockingbird' a week or two ago as well, they both came from the same batch I purchased and I've also sold an old tatty Ray Bradbury 'October Country' as well within a couple of days of listing.
Having a whinge on here really helps though, I've just come home to find two more SDN emails, and while I was out I got talking to someone who just happened to mention out of the blue that she had books and no car and didn't know how to get rid of them. I have obviously volunteered to help her out and will go round in the car early next week, and she doesn't even want paying for them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've got 2 bag loads by the PC just itching to be listed..but I am having to deny myself until I have finished a bit of work . I always imagine I am going to get that goldmine one..when I do I rush into the other room and wave it around to DH and he just says 'that's nice' and continues with whatever he was doing. He just doesn't understand. Even when I sold a paperback book for £100 he really couldn't see what all the fuss was about.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No he really doesn't understand the buzz...A £100 sale is cause for serious celebration. My best was £75. I love the way with Amazon it just spontaneously pops up in your email when Im having a bad day it really cheers me up....Ebay is good but takes me ages to list and then I'm waiting for something to happen plus buyers can be difficult.0 -
Don't forget as well though that heart stopping moment when you go to pack the book...and it isn't there :eek:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi, I started with Amazon selling a couple of weeks ago and was amazed to sell my first book in about 15mins!
I didn't put my books on at the lowest price after this as the postage cost was much more that the Amazon allowance. I also altered my 3 cd's to a higher price than the lowest ones to cover the postage costs and they still sold! I'm going to add a few more I don't want anymore to see if they sell, you never know they might be someone else's classics! I didn't put some of my books on due to a low selling rating and they were hundreds on for 1p, I'll wait and see about these otherwise they can go to the charity shop with is where they were intended for anyway.
I like how you can list your items and then leave it all and Amazon contacts you as soon as they sell - it suits me down to the ground in this way and you can leave it without relisting for a long time, worth trying and might make some money, nice!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
