I have a new unopened bottle of Chanel Chance to sell here on Amazon or on ebay. Where would be the best place to list this sort of perfume item, in terms of making the most profit etc?
Check completed listings on ebay and current prices on Amazon and see which looks better. You can do a test run on Amazon to see your exact income after fees, just go through the screens pretending to sell but don't hit confirm, the final screen shows the actual amount you will get including postal credit but excluding fees.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My sales seem to be ticking along nicely - as long as I have something coming into my bank account twice a month I'm happy. Seems to be averaging out at about £20 each time, which is fine for me - I only ever have six or seven items on at a time so that all seems fair enough.0

I know this is an amzon thread, but does anyone know if ebay are having any free listing days soon? Or if they've just had one? Thanks.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

"3 of 5 A different *** than what it was advertised as!"
i received the above feedback yesterday, nearly 3 weeks after the item was purchased
unless i've sent the wrong item, which i don't think i have as i have checked my other stock, then i really have no idea what the problem is with this
i have had no contact from the buyer whatsoever
i have emailed them to ask what item they have received and to please allow me the chance to resolve by replacing or refunding them if i have sent the wrong item0 -
i just noticed this underneath it as well
"4 of 5 Delivery took 10 days from purchase"
item was purchased 2nd feb, item sent 3rd feb, i emailed the buyer on 3rd feb to confirm despatch, and postage label will also confirm date sent.
hmm maybe the delay was possibly due to the huge amount of snow we had over the past couple of weeks?
great, now it looks like i'm a bad seller who takes ages to send the wrong items. i now have 97%, did have 100%.
i always send same or next day and describe items accuratelyand will refund or replace if buyer not happy

That's what worries me about Amazon, the feedback return rate is quite low so even a medium sized seller can have their feedback ruined by one single 'neutral'. Do the usual grogan email and see if buyer will remove it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I do worry about feedback too. It would be nice if buyers were obliged to leave feedback, but I suppose that's difficult to enforce. I only have about 8 ratings, so one bad one could really bring me down.0

Pinkgem - If you put a well worded response to those feedbacks you stand a chance of buyers checking out the detail of your feedback and understanding that you are a reasonable and responsive seller. As a buyer I do realise that sellers get 'poorly considered' feedback.
Soolin - you will have everyone asking what a 'grogan' email is - that is Amazon Sellers Connection 'speak' - it has no place here :rotfl:
