Its really annoying isn't it - the thing that annoys me even more is he can see that we are a business and not just that, but a charity too, so you would think he would use common sense that a business has certain legal obligations and charities are not likely to be trying to rip people off

Hi guys ive got a problem

Ive just read that you need a credit card so the funds get to your bank account once you sold something

Unfortunately ive just got a debit card, natwest solo so i dont know what to do as i have just sold two books worth £70

Is there a way round this or will i have to refund the buyers?

It just says on the sellers settings that my credit card is invalid and to enter one, so i have no idea how i got past it when i originally set up as a seller.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but today I have had the third person leave me a negative feedback because of the 'content' of the book, as opposed to the service:

"many spelling mistakes and poorly printed"

    "Dull and repetative"

    Anything I can do?

This is eligible for removal under their new unpublished rules, you may need to be persistent though. Amazon have said to many sellers that they will remove any feedback that is a review of the book rather than of the seller, so that is what you need to quote at customer services when you call them.

Can I just check something quickly - I have a book I want to sell but there are lots of similar for 1p. I know I get £2.75 for shipping, but then what do Amazon take in fees? I can't work out if its worth it or not. Thanks

They think the fb they give is a review of the product, not of your service. TSFP.

If you are not a pro seller then you get £1.44 left after fees. A standard paperback weighing over 250g costs £1.63 to send second class. 1p books are usually worth it if the book is either under 250g or thin enough to go as a large letter.

Is there somewhere that lists profit for pro-merchs?

Just wondered what a £1.63 postage book would make if you were (weighing the options!)?

I do things the blonde way I'm afraid..so here's how I would calculate that one. Go through the whole process as though you were actually listing until you get to the bit that says 'you will receive xx for this sale' then add the 86p pro merchant saving.

Does this sound well dodgy from a buyer on Amazon?

He bought two of my CDs, and gave a business address in London but enquired if I could send to Germany. Said no I couldn't and posted with a CoP (CD value is about £30).

Now buyer has e-mailed and said he made a 'little mistake' with the London address and I might get the package back and he's given another London address to sent the item to.
