    Hello fellow flab fighters....:rotfl:

You're all very quiet........are you sticking to it or have you all fallen off the wagon.

I'm doing ok, weigh in tomorrow. Not sure if I can manage to go to the workshop but I will weigh myself anyway. I think I'm still losing - slow but steady.

Today I was up early so I have already been to Asda and stocked up on fruit and veg, also some yellow stickered meat and fish, so plenty of healthy choices in my freezer - so no excuses now. :rotfl:

Going to do some gardening in a minute. Then if I've got any energy left I will try and do some yoga. I have a poorly shoulder so need to try and loosen it up a bit. Maybe a nice hot epsom salt bath before bed will help

Breakfast was ham & reduced fat cheese omelette. 2 Pts
Lunch will. Be sea bass and salad 0 points
Dinner will be homemade chicken curry using low fat coconut milk and broccoli "rice". Around 6 Pts

That will leave enough points for some cheese and crackers for supper and hopefully a few rollovers towards tomorrow's feasting with the family.

Hope you are all having a fab weekend.

Hi, sorry for going quiet! We are away this weekend, always knew it would be hard and then I forgot my precious go ahead bars! Had a Chinese last night, I only ate until I was full which is really good for me, but I know I was way over my points. Having a roast today, will attempt some better choices, but it is actually a holiday so won't deprive myself. I resisted any sweets earlier though when the rest of the family got some. Also resisted popcorn in the cinema earlier in the week.

And when we stopped in burger King in the way up I went to the greggs and got a baguette and a fruit pot, go me! So there will be damage and I am not really expecting a loss on Wednesday I am happy with my small goals in damage control.

Hi DL. Don't beat yourself up.....as you say it's a bank holiday. :D. It can be very difficult to stay on plan when you are away from home and eating out.

I find eating in "proper restaurants" is relatively easy but eating on the go or whilst travelling can be really difficult, especially as so many cafes and fast food type places rely so heavily on wheat based meals, which of course I have to try and avoid. Two or three days of eating wheat based meals and I'm in trouble, I'll spare you the gory details.:rotfl:

Have fun. Enjoy your break and get back on track when you return home. A few days is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things.

I tend to take the view that it took several years for me to become overweight so it will probably take several months to lose it all. :rotfl:

If I can average 1lb a week that will do me.

Yes I would love to wave a magic wand and have the fat just dissolve but I think doing it slowly but surely will be better for me in the long run. Hopefully I will find a new way of eating that will be sustainable for the rest of my life and I won't simply pile the weight back on again.

I don't want to be a yo yo dieter.

I lost 2 pounds last week. I haven't taken my measurements yet. I worked out at home four times during the week.:)

It was very interesting following the metabolism reset plan as it made me notice what times of the day I am most hungry.

I am sometimes hungry in the morning but then I find I am most hungry between 11 am and 3 pm. I am not as hungry for my evening meal.

I had never noticed this pattern before as I am used to having a bigger dinner since being a child. That was how we always ate at home, smaller breakfast and lunch with a bigger dinner.

I am going eat more intuitively from now on and have my main meal around lunchtime.

I just had 3 rice cakes with a smashed avocado as a small breakfast/ snack. I will have a protein smoothie later in the morning.

I am going to look for a HIIT workout by Joe Wicks today as he does 15/20 minutes of high intensity workouts for free on YouTube.

Well done .....:T:T. I too have just weighed myself. Another 2lb gone.

Interesting about your metabolism reset plan. I think you are right, we all have different biorhythms and I think the trick is to work with them and not against them. Of course that's not always possible if you are working and/or have family commitments. I think it's easier if you are retired.

I also think that I am now finding it easier because I live alone. I can eat what and when I like and I can ensure that I only have healthy food in the house. I just don't buy bread, cakes, biscuits etc now. If they are not in the house then I can't eat them. :rotfl:

I didn't manage any yoga yesterday. I did mow the lawn and it practically wiped me out, I had no energy left so I'm going to do some today.

Family here today for dinner so will do a low point full English breakfast. Dinner will be roast gammon and all the trimmings. I will probably go over my points but I have a few rollovers left. It shouldn't be too bad.

I am getting much better at planning ahead and it seems to help.

In one way it is a good thing that I had to stop working because of the fibromyalgia as it has given me the time to look at all aspects of my health and improve on them.

I just think it's funny that in all the time I have tried to lose weight over the years I didn't notice that I am less hungry in the evening. I think maybe I have been unintentionally overeating at night out of habit.:rotfl:

I suppose as well if you eat your bigger meal during the day you have more time to burn it off.:)

That's interesting. I think there's a lot to be said for eating your main meal earlier in the day.

If you look at the much vaunted Mediterranean way of eating they all tend to have a large leisurely lunch, starting at around 2 or 3 and then a lighter dinner/supper. My Spanish friends and my Belgian relatives all tend to eat this way.

Unless I'm going out for dinner I now tend to eat earlier than I used to, generally somewhere between 4 and 6 and then a light snack in the evening, around 9pm. It seems to be working well for me.

When I dine out with DS1 and his family we take the baby with us so we often go for the early bird menu, usually around 5pm. It's cheaper too. So very MSE. Lol.

    Good morning.....

Cold wet and miserable here so going to spend some time in the kitchen today. Cook up some tasty meals.

Went off plan for a couple of days.i didn't track so not actually sure how many points I used but I do know I went over. Popped on the scales to assess the damage and I seem to have stayed the same so no harm done. :D

I shall just assume that I have used all my weeklies for the forthcoming week and just take it from there.

Weather not fit to go out today, thankfully I don't have to so I am just going to potter about. I am going to have a clothes trying on session, see what fits and what I can get rid of.

I agree with the hunger thing. If I eat a huge lunch I can easily go the rest of the day with nothing. But unfortunately I work 9-3 and I actually don't have time for it. May be something to look at later in life.

Weigh day, 1/2Ib off! I am so pleased, I was way over my weeklies over the weekend, but you know what, I still counted everything. This is a huge thing for me, normally one bad day and I stop counting and give up until the next weigh day. Yesterday was back on track. Today is the smallests birthday so there will be cake and a possible trip for pizza, will check the menu, I know they do healthier options too. Off to London on sat to see the lion King with the birthday boy, I am have already pointed up a burger from 5 guys, so I know what I need to do lol. I am 1 1/2Ins away from the next stone bracket, would love to do this before next Wednesday.

    Feeling determined......
