Update on my discussions with 3
3 called me again today, they advised me that they were pursuing the cash back issue with the distributor. I asked who that was, 3 advised me that the details were not to hand.
They asked how much money was involved with my cash back arrangement with Cool New Mobile, and how much was left to be reimbursed.
I was advised that 3 will get back to me within 4 weeks.
Background and earlier posts etc

On the third time of calling i managed to change my tariff from 500mins & 250txts @ £35 to 150mins (stop the clock) & 250txts @£25.
Im 6 months into my 12.
The first op said i couldnt change til 9 months and the second said he couldnt help but to call 191. It was then that i got a nice Irish lady who was only too willing to help me out.
Not the best deal i suppose but it'll do for me.0 -

Hi Kitty86
I have a contract with vodaphone as well, they have offered to talk about my contract with them after 9 months. I only took contract out with CNM as it seemed to good to miss out on. Am in the process of taking them to court. Got a reply to my summons dated the 12/11/07 that they were going to defend the claim. I don't know where i stand now.0 -
Forget about progressing your court case.
And definitely don't pay any more court fees. It will be a waste of money, as although you will win the case, you will be unable to enforce it.0 -
Voadfone users
I have just contact vodafone again and they are still persistant that the price plan could not be changed until after 9 months. I did a little conmplaining as they messed my contract up becaused they added it to my husband account. The guy eventually said that a letter was being sent out to all users who purchased phones from the companies in question and it give you options of what you can do to your price plan. He did say that a similar thing was done earlier in the year when another company went bust. Seems we have just got to sit tight and wait for the letter.0 -
I have just got a phonecall from voadafone after calling them up on friday. They have offered me half price contract for the remainder of my contract. £35.00 to £17.50
This is great news. I would advise everyone ringing up again and asking them i phoned 0870 0779 779.
give it a go!! it looks like vodafone are being the most generous network, juts got to wait for T-mobile and ThreeFirst ever win: Samsung Genio Touch Mobile Phone!!0 -
I don't belieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve it!
I just, 4 hours ago, sent off my cashback claim for my first month, and paid £4 for the Special Delivery gaurenteed service! So not only am I not getting ANY cashback on my contract, but I'm actually out of pocket by £4!
[SIZE=-1]Lies, subterfuge, shady corruption! Do you actually need any financial backing to run one of these companies? From what I can see all you do is:
1) Setup up a website.
2) Offer mobile contracts with £1000 cashback.
3) Wait for punters to fall into trap
4) Pocket your thousands of commission from the network.
5) Say "Oh whoops, we didn't think anyone really wanted money back, it was all a big wheeze! Sorry and byebye."
6) Purchase house in Monaco.
7) Laugh all the way to the club-class lounge.
Is there no legal recourse for the people who ran this sham of an operation at all?! Where did business morals go?

On a serious note, I don't suppose there is any chance of getting my original bills that I have just posted away back?0
