Its a 4 bedroom house new build and currently the showroom is listing £20k less than what we bought ours ...
If you mean the current price of a brand new house of the same type as yours is £20K less than you paid, then your house will have lost more than that as buyers wouldn't pay the same for a "used" house as they would for a brand new identical one.
So if you get your deposit back from your ex, he may in fact, be losing out.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

I know this is a threat and blackmailing and everytime he said this to me in an aggressive arrogant way, I just shut down let him say what he wants to say as I do not want to create anymore stress or fight with this.
He has already approached the bank to process buying me out without my consent.
As far as I know, I got told that he is breaking the law and also money laundering by going behind my back taking action without having a discussion??!!
Money laundering? Really?
I think you may need to be more careful where you're getting your information from.
He can't tell you to just get out, but on the other hand staying put till August isn't being particularly helpful either. Is your July/August place a definite and couid that date slip even further if people don't leave when they should? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Agree an amount that he is going to pay you and move out on the 30th April once he has transferred the cash into your account.
Just move out and be a lodger in someone's house.
It's not worth the hassle demanding to stay.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

They are saying the show house is £20k less typically a show house comes with loads of extras.0 -

Get these people to back up their claims.
You are sounding very inexperienced if you believe this nonsense.0 -

I didn't think OP meant show house when she said "showroom", I thought she meant "sales office". If it is the show house with all the extras, then the OP's partner will be losing out even moreIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

In many ew build sites the showroom is the show house(set up in a garage)0 -
Do not move out until the mortgage is in his name only.
Also don't forget meter readings with photos.0 -
Lots of well intentioned advice here, mine included but you really need a solicitor so I suggest you have a consultation with one ASAP0

And your portion of money is safely in your account.
If he refuses to transfer the money into your account, do not take a personal cheque from him - make it a banker's draft which is the same as cash. I do not think he will be able to cancel this.
Please I beg you, if given a banker's draft, check and double check that your name and amount is 100%.
Also you need to slow down and stop letting your emotions take control. He is playing on your emotions and you are letting them rule you at this time.
Trust me you are not the first and will not be the last for this to happen to (it happened to me and now I am mortgage free).
Every decision you have to make, take a couple of hours or a day or two before you act on it. The last thing you need to a end up making a serious error of judgement.0
