If she paid by PayPal, then you can use the email address attached to her PayPal account, as PayPal does disclose it with you. Should you decide to go this route, make sure you request (via email client) a notification that the email you sent has been read.

I think poor OP has gone beyond trying to get buyer to use a label. It is also worth noting that paypal don't always give an address anymore, someone mentioned that on here about a year ago and I said they were wrong- and then checked my own account only to find in many cases no email has been supplied.

Well I mean I've read through the whole thread and the seller isn't getting much joy from ebay. I also suggested a drop off label and asking her to drop it off because she had already agreed to the collection. She is at risk of ebay closing the case in the buyer's favour and that will leave her with more problems. If you read the thread you will see that the seller has been in contact with eBay multiple times and is not getting very far. The buyer could easily do the same thing with another drop off label as she did with the first and say it's insufficient and then the seller would be back to square one again. That it is why a courier was suggested, because that way she can't say it's insufficient.

We are going around in circles.

The buyer can say whatever they like, regardless of whether it's a pick up or not. Imagine, the courier at the door, they say 'sorry love that's too big'. No collection.

I can't see where the seller is now, butI hope they haven't pandered to this buyer yet again.

OP, it would be good to have an update from you...

Currently on hold with eBay after being told "Let me check" a million times! I'm trying to get them to close on the phone.

I'm getting nowhere here. "Let's just wait and see for buyer to contact us." "The case is not automatically closed tomorrow". "We're giving buyer 14 days to return." I am absolutely at a loss.

This is no use to the OP at this stage but it's worth remembering that if you hit reply to the paypal "payment received" email the buyers email will be there to view.

This has scam written all over it. It's good you are trying to take control of it while you can as these massive online businesses rarely care who side they come down on and sorting this out is a mere formality for them to end the hassle. Good luck....Just read more of this string, wow! What a saga!

Not on all of mine they are not, I had to admit I was wrong when I argued about that last last year. Some of my transaction no longer show an email - some / most? still do but not all of them.

That's for sure! It's been one thing after another.

I'm not really sure what to do now except wait? Ebay said they won't refund her without a return. But they're over the place, giving her 14 days to return with a label that is now expired? Then they said to me to send another label, I said I was loathe to do so as I'm now having to seek refunds for 2 perfectly good labels and that the buyer clearly has no intention of returning this item to me. She said she knew I was being patient but that was really all she had to say, her parting decision was "Let's wait a see what the buyer does"! I just don't think that's good enough.

They have refunded the buyer and I am being charged
  • Do you mind if I ask, if you have spoken to any of eBays CS that have an Irish accent?.

If your last contacts have been at worst with a Phillipino accent and only slightly less worse with a US accent, it might still be worth trying to appeal your case.

The best chance of getting through to the Dublin call centre seems to be in the morning ( I always try to get through between 8 to 10).

FWIW I would hang up and try again if you get anything other than an Irish accent.

    Good luck.
