Hi all
Have had a bit of a kitchen and utility room blitz. I sort of work to my own Flylady lists but I am finding that what I am doing is just cleaning the same bits of the house over and over again and some bits never get touched. From a distance my house looks clean and tidy but up close there are some bits that are fairly grim.
So today I have pulled out the sofa in the kitchen and the shoe cupboard in the utility. I know that under the utility shoe cupboard would be really bad but oh my goodness it was disgusting. Have also washed the sofa cushion covers and throw. The kitchen cupboards still need cleaning inside but the outsides are sparkly!

Narco, assuming travel insurance claim forms haven't changed since I used to deal with them, it doesn't matter. The point is that they have to see something has happened after taking out insurance which couldn't reasonably be expected - in this case, for example, you booked the holiday/took out insurance on x date. The certificate details her name, etc, and that she fell and broke her hip on y date. The doctor probably has to fill in a bit that confirms this could not have been anticipated (because the form has to allow for all types of illness and injury), sign it and stamp it.
Claims person looks at the file.
Form has been completed and signed - check.
Proof of insurance - check.
Date of cover being taken out - check.
Date of injury is well after the date of taking out insurance - check.
Booking Invoice showing date of booking - check.
Amount of cancellation charges (on cancellation invoice)/flight tickets saying non refundable - check. Add up total loss, deduct policy excess per person, authorise payment, trigger letter, job done.
Takes around 5 minutes if there's much typing involved (which there rarely is).
The GP is sufficient - and usually more reliable and cheaper to get to complete the form, as the cost of getting it done isn't covered - and, just in case you wondered, because there's an accident, it's absolutely irrelevant that she has other diagnoses, so they don't need to be included [strike]and can actually make the claim more complicated, as it adds a pre existing illness into the mix[/strike].
Himself is out rehearsaling again for two gigs this weekend. He was out last night, too, but came and met me when I went out to meet a friend.
Spent today working my 'arris off, completely redoing all the work I did last week because the boss changed everything. But she looks happier now, even though I couldn't completely fit one other task in during the day, which she was a bit peeved about, but I did an hour and a half of overtime, so it's not as if I was deliberately avoiding it.
Came in with sore feet, AF belly, backache and found that the 'food' Himself had left for me was a microwave burger or a 'meaty' pizza (I DON'T LIKE SHOPBOUGHT PIZZA, ESPECIALLY NOT 'MEATY').
Ate the microwave burger.
He had made a bit of an effort to clean up some of the detritus in the kitchen, though. I just needed to do one bowl of washing up, wipe down the countertops and sweep the floor. And get rid of my gibble from the coffee table, collect various items of clothing to take upstairs, put my shoes back on the rack and sort the settee throw out.
Not sure if I CBA to go to his gig tomorrow, seeing as there's one on Sunday as well, but we'll see how I feel when I wake up. It's going to be a stupid busy weekend and even more stupid and busy the next week at work, so I might need some down time.
At least everywhere except the shower room is clean, though.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Suffering from frustration this morning. Everything I'm doing seems to be stalled at the 'you'll need to sort out what the problems are then redo it stage.' Slightly going round in circles here.Better is good enough.0

Still in bed, with a coffee. It's been a hectic week. Lots of science taught and was praised by boss for my effort and enthusiasm. Best bit, though, was that some groups of Y1 got very similar results when testing materials for an astronaut's Maximum Absorbency Garment' using yellow water as the test liquid. So they must have been working carefully and accurately at 5/6 years old!
Now, however, the cleaning starts!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
Pouring with rain here so no dog walk or gardening on the agenda yet. I have however got a big frog of paperwork out of the way.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning :hello:
I've had the usual Roundtuit week: sleep, make bed, eat, feed birds, work, visit Dad / be visited by DS's dad, eat, sleep, repeat. I binned the unexploded pillow that survived the first pillow cull - don't need it. Gone :T. During my lunch breaks I read the 'lighter' of the two Dejunk Your Life books and it is now in the cs box. And I've started to read the second tome.
I've eaten healthily(er) all week and feel better for it - less bloated and no growly tummy shattering the silence of the officeplus more balanced in mood (ish). :T
I'm dressed, sorted Mount Washmore into heaps - went to load WM  oops still a load in there from last weekend. A musty loadSaid load is now being rewashed. Hey ho. Keep on swimming. Keep on swimming.
F1 Grand Prix season starts this weekend - qualifying highlights at 12 :j:T:j Already know the results thanks to fbbut I will still enjoy my first 'fix' of the year.
Going to do an online Mr T shop before I do anything else.
Love to all

Just popped in to say thanks for the list this week... I have followed it to the tee and apart from a couple of things, I have got everything done on it including extras and my home actually looks clean and tidy in nearly every room this week. I am going to follow it next week too hopefully as should be quicker with everything now spik and span and then concentrate on some hotspots I have!£2021 in 2021... £253.86/£20210

Morning all.
Untangling vibes to Honey Bear:undecided:huh:
Well done, Valli's Y1 scientists :T:j:T
Coping vibes to dancemum xx
Managed all my list yesterday, plus (having turned up at the appointed collection time) an enforced 2-hour delay for my car, as the vehicle lift in the service workshop failed in the up position with another customer's car on it. I spent the time sitting in the waiting area, drinking some quite decent coffee and tea, reading trashy magazines about fashion i can't be bothered with, and watching even trashier TV about family arguments I don't want to be involved with, until I was the only customer left and felt able to ask for the TV zapper to change to something slightly more cerebral
I did a lot of walking on hard pavements yesterday, so - perhaps unsurprisingly - my knee joints have both flared up painfully today, but my hands have also come out in sympathy, so I am dosing myself up on painkillers and anti-inflammatories.
DH wants to go to the station on the heritage railway where he used to work because his working member's card has been sent there and not forwarded to him. It is also gala day, and the new station building that he watched going up is now open with a shiny big cafeteria, so he will buy me coffee (at reduced prices of course :money:;)). We will take Rosie with us and give her a run on the common on the way home.
Having run out of clean tights and jumpers, I also need to do WMx2 today.
See you all on the new thread, if not before xx0
