hoping that I don't wake up with cramp in my legs again in the middle of the night :(

bananas!! leg cramps at night are often caused by low potassium.. try a few banoonies each day for a while, see if it helps.

Narco.. thank you I shall go have a squint now.. I'm so incredibly bored of just sitting because my hip is so painful I don't want to do anything or I have taken pain meds and am physically incapable of anything productive..

I washed my hair today.. I figured at 2:20 I had time to wash and dry my hair before the school run .. life had other plans.. Twinkle had 2 nose bleeds, did the biggest poo she has ever done and 2 wees, I had to empty 2 potties and wash her... I finally got my hair brushed and presentable to go out at 3:55... it takes me minutes to wash my hair! lol... It didn't get dried either so it's all curly and stupid now!

DW got loaded twice while I cooked dinner
I did put on a wash load too.. Twinkle wanted crisps as I was cooking dinner so DD3 took them off her and put them high up in the kitchen so Twinkle created a mountain out of dirty laundry to climb up and reach them so I put the clothes in the machine and turned it on! haha.. that stopped her!

  • Morning all.
House still a building site. But have got the kitchen and bathroom presentable.

Feel like such a flying fraud, I'm struggling so much, but I know there is nothing I can do whilst the living room & dining room are 'back to brick' and all the 'stuff' from those two rooms are in our bedroom (and have been since the end of Jan) I wish I could say the end is in sight, but the plasterer doesn't even start for a week.

A few admin tasks done yesterday after work, so still up to date.

Man came and looked at gate, damaged by strong winds, at lunchtime and when I got back in the evening the motor had been removed and brickwork all repaired. They need to straighten or replace the mounting bracket and then refit it once cement etc dry, so pleased to see it happening. Man coming this evening to look at roof damage and give me quote for insurance company, hoping they will also cover cost of gate repairs and of course the roof.

Cats brought me a mouse or vole yesterday evening and another one this morning, typical when OH is away and I hate dealing with them, but both disposed of now.

WM on, so off to work now.

Hugs to all of you that are struggling.

Hugs to Dancemum and lots of you by the sound of it.
Very windy but sunny so far so I've done a load of washing and hung it out with plenty of pegs, in the hope it will still be in the same county when Mr N gets back from the gym and his cardio appointment. Lucky they are only checking the health of his valve replacement, as if they were doing blood pressure I imagine we're both through the ceiling!

    - washed up and did a bit of kitchen tidying
    - got something out of the freezer for dinner tonight.
    - cancelled Amsterdam hotel we were meant to be in next week
    - renewed library books
    - checked paperwork all ready and labelled for this afternoon's assessment. Not a promising start that the student hadn't filled in all the details on the referral form, was re-sent them with a request to complete by Monday and they have just reached me today, still incomplete.
    - found a few links to info about what to expect from a care package; seems we should have been involved in some sort of discussion. Needless to say not a good night's sleep for either of us as we thought of all the things MIL could do independently before she went into hospital e.g. make a cup of tea, decide whether she wanted the TV or radio on and operate them accordingly etc.

All I had left on my pre-work list was to sow broad bean seeds currently soaking in water in the kitchen. Will have to sort them after work or they will be soup!

Something tells me we may not make it to dance class this eve!

    Happy thoughts everyone.

  • Hugs sticks and spoons for all in need.. its been a busy busy few days..

I have this morning managed to vacuum the whole house, scrub the bathroom, pulled out chairs, taken the sofa apart and all given a good clean/vacuum. WULTD, WM x2, one lot of bedding nearly dry on the line, the other load is almost ready to go out.. this wind is good for something at least!

I handed in my notice yesterday.. its all been a bit sudden, a change in my mums needs and DS2 also and the offer of a far better paid & less stressful job = only being able to give a weeks notice, so I told them to take wages in place of the notice not given.. scared yet excited and nervous all rolled into one, still, I will no longer be a HCA, which if I’m quite honest is a relief as most management now simply do not care for its carers!
(Needed to get out before I became burnt out!) I will still visit my ressies, in fact I will be delighted to actually get to spend quality time chatting with them.

Off to clean a few marks on the walls here and there.. think the nerves are keeping me busy!

Umm.. my little faces are misbehaving.. :( wonder what gremlin had done it?

Your good wishes worked - I found it yesterday afternoon! Hurrah. Must do minutey things ....
(((Hugs))) for Narco (sorry about the cancelled Amsterdam trip) and Dancemum and anyone caring for elderly relatives who are struggling.

Another two loads washed yesterday are nearly dry having been blown all over the place by the wind. Last chance for a week to get anything dry, so I'm glad it's all done.

More paperwork sorted. Chickpea and sweet potato patties made for tonight's dinner; I hope they're nice. I don't want to taste the mix because it's got raw egg in it; yuk.
    Better is good enough.

bah.. thankfully I got all the dirty stuff washed and hung out today and it blew dry in a very short time.. because my dryer has up and died!! I am hoping it is just the belt which has snapped but I am not happy.. I wouldn't mind so much but my mother bought one last week after hers broke using MY 'emergency fund' so I can't afford to replace it if it is beyond repair! My life hates me!!

Moomin at her Thumbelina appointment tomorrow for her depression session.. and Friday we have a trundle to Leeds for Boogs appointment and hoping to slink in a swift Ikea trip.. I need to price stuff up tbh..

I have found a shower and a bath which will fit in my bathroom IF fitting and parts wont be prohibitively expensive.. I have £800 for that so I'm hoping it isn't too dreadful.. it shouldn't be *that* much to fit a bath and a shower should it? I can get everything in it will just be a case of connecting it all up.. anyway.. we shall see..

Twinkle told me off today.. I sorted her clothes out so they all were put away and she told me off because she thought I had binned all her clothes, I had to show her they were now in her drawers because she was refusing to go to bed!!

Anyway.. toodles and night night and all that xx
