  • Just stumbled in from another manic day of the Badly Paid Stuff to find Himself is 'having a bit of a rest from working on applications all weekend'.

But he had made sure the countertops were clean and the dry washing had been taken up.

As a result, today's flying has consisted of wiping up something he had spilled over the top of the washing machine yesterday and not included in the countertop clean. [shrug].

Going to finish my cuppa, shove my sandwich wrapper in the bin and then try to do nothing for a while.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Hi all

Back from the paid stuff, dusting and hovering done, everyone fed and kitchen tidied. Dog bedding in wash, some more to go over airer before bed. Stomach sore so curling up with book now. Hoping someone might make a cup of tea.
  • Morning all. Feeling decidedly teary this morning. Not good ahead of an exam this morning then teaching all afternoon!

In four weeks DH will be Home and life gets back to normal. In the meantime I'll just keep on keeping on.

Kids dressed, I'm showered and need to paint my face on. Spag bol in SC. DW about to go on.

Hugs to all especially my lovely friend YL - I'd have made you a cuppa xx

    Morning all.
I’ve dropped DD at school and am now back to get stuck into the lists. The wm is turning with towels in it. I’m going to set my timer à la Round to see where I get to as I need a kick to get going past the overwhelmed stage.
I’m meeting a friend for lunch which is my reward for flying this morning and then I’m out for work this evening.
Off to set the timer and tackle the bathroom.
Have a lovely day and hugs to all those struggling atm.

Yes, Natty, those of us that have someone to help with house-keeping do stuff before they arrive! It isn't fair to ask anyone to deal with muddle - that's my responsibility. I hope you enjoy your week off with Dave.
It's very hard watching people we care about deteriorating mentally, Narco. (((Hugs))) for you and Mr Narco.
I hope things stablize for you ATB/ASB really soon.

My office is ship-shape again and I've caught up on the outstanding paperwork; sort of. Enough to stop fretting about it, in any event. Managed to get three loads washed and dried yesterday, but I've still got another three at least to do and the forecast is really dire for most of the rest of the week.

I've managed to lose a book with the notes I took at a meeting a couple of weeks ago. This is serious; it must be somewhere but I just can't find it. I hate looking for things, it's such a waste of time, but that's the priority this morning.
    Better is good enough.

Hope you find your book soon HB!
Morning everyone. Status here is that DS is keeping out of my way and MIL in hospital again.

Too wet to walk the dogs yet so I have done a quick hoover through, cleaned the rest of the downstairs windows and made broccoli soup for my lunch.

Just having a cuppa then will do the upstairs windows.
Spend less now, work less later.
