Morning all. I'm still not dressed but I have cleaned all the downstairs floors, dusted the dusty bits in the LR and cleaned the windows in there. I've also prepped tonight's dinner.
Next is getting dressed, changing the bedding and walking the dogs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all, I'm sitting here trying to think of something to do as I have the cleaners here for the next half hour. I felt a bit bad about writing down extras that I wanted them to do but I suppose that's what I pay them for..lol
Well bad news I haven't worked the for the whole of March yet..and looks like I won't be working this week eitherThe Trust's car needed it's MOT and I was banned from using it as they had only just got the phonecall that it had run out.. I had been telling them that it was due for a fortnight yet they didn't take any notice of me.. And it failed too on something that I had been telling them about for a month or so.. I'm beginning to think they don't listen to me..lol Anyway after it being away a fortnight it finally came back last Tuesday. So I dutitfully drove to Maidstone to my old therapy unit to pick it up at 8.30am. It had no fuel in..so I had to take it to the petrol station down the road to get the fuel on my money... And guess what I did? In my rush I went straight to the unleaded pumps, filled up and then broke down outside Maidstone Hospital causing a jam. Yep it was a diesal car and I had killed it...lol So it had to go back to the unit by tow, the garage then had to take it and drain it. It is still at the garage a week later, waiting to be picked up. I rang them this morning only to be told they have a flood at the unit now. And no one has picked up the car either for tomorrow's use. So it looks like I will be taking the week off now while they shut the unit to clear up the flood (apparently it's a bad one!) I feel quite bereft at not having anything to do... Then next week I am taking a weeks holiday to be with Dave while he's off. So I may actually go back to work the last couple of days of March....lol
Still I have been flying, visiting friends that I needed to see and generally keeping on top of things at home after the cleaners have been on Mondays
I semi decluttered a major hotspot yesterday, everything went into black sacks without me even looking at it...lol. I also cleared a work top under the boiler unit as we were having our boiler service done.
And this morning I went round and tidied up, decluttered a few bits and hoovered downstairs and the stairs with the cat litter all over it..blooming cats!!!! Is it normal to clean before the cleaners come.?
Was going to put the washing out but it's too cold and it won't really dry properly. So on the airer it will go later.
Huge hugs to everyone xxxMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

I'm dressed, the dogs have had a quick walk to the postbox, the bedding is changed and is currently in the WM. I'm just having an early lunch. Want to try to finish floors upstairs before I go out for a couple of hours.Spend less now, work less later.0

Thanks for the thread. I'm like the hokey cokey; in and out of flying like you wouldn't believe. Feeling super tired after being up at 4.30am yesterday and crawling into bed at 10.30pm so not sure how much I'll be doing today bar the essentials.0

Walking done, I WILL loose weight, none lost this week, but none put on either. I have found my old food diary I had last time around, so going to follow that for a few weeks and keep walking.
Washing in off line, before it ends up in next doors garden.
Whole of house hoovered
Toilets bleached

Natty glad you're getting some things done amidst other people's incompetence, it must be very frustrating.
Went to gym this am, not the classes I'd expected as instructor was off, but still enjoyed it. Dropped in to buy some seed compost on my way home.
Wudupa then emptied compost bin and wiped a few cupboard fronts and drawers. That may be all the kitchen gets today as it's not bad elsewhere.
Mr N came back from hospital rather despondent as MIL back to uncooperative and lacking in sense today e.g. waving a spoon about, occasionally landing in soup, treacle sponge and Nivea (fortunately a new one with the silver paper intact) seemingly random. Must have tasted great. . And being rude to him when offered help. He'd hoped to see the doctor and the physio today, but no luck.
Out to the greenhouse for a little while before my drum lesson. Had planned to continue flying round MIL's flat, but think Mr N needs a break from anything to do with her, so will leave him mowing lawn.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Hello all
Sneaking back in quietly, I don't know what happened last week but I didn't fly. So need to get on this week.
I have quite a busy week workwise and got up to find very many tiles missing off the garage roof and the electric gate motor ripped off the wall by the wind so insurance company has been contacted and I've started the ball rolling. Waiting for folks to call me back to arrange to come and quote.
I am hopeful that I can get things back on track quite quickly as house is not really untidy, could do with a dust and vacuum. I also have a couple of loads of washing to do but again should be manageable if I get myself into gear.
To be fair at the weekend we did get a load of stuff thrown out, mainly boxes for things we no longer have or old paperwork we no longer need. OH was great and really motivated to see space appearing in the house. We both realised that if we do it bit by bit we will eventually get there.
So time to make a cup of tea and get finances back up to date, I don't want to lose track of spending.0 -
Afternoon all,
Back after being completely absent last week due to one thing or another. Our house is still a building site making flying really tricky. But, the wash basket is empty and some stuff line dried (blown dry really) the rest is on airers around the house. Between the heating & dehumidifier I should be able to to put it all away tomorrow at some point. Just need to keep on top of it all.
Back to solo parenting as hubby's work is picking up again now.
Working for the next three days, but could do with spin a proper fly this evening. Will write a list and report back later. I may need to hide my k1ndl3 as it's tooo distracting.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)
