Afternoon all,
Last day taxi-ing so hopefully next week I'll get back to normal (whatever normal is!)
Today I've
Been to the gym to make the most of my membership (works out at just less then 80p a class) and refilled water bottle there
Returned the 2 throws I bought yesterday when taking back the throws I'd bought the day before (NO MORE THROWS ARE BEING BOUGHT!!) Ordered a sofa & chair cover online instead
Checked banking/updated spreadsheet
Found out dh is getting a little payrise from April and will get a bonus in this months pay too
Called into aldee with my list - stuck to the list and didn't stop to look at their offers!
Recovered my footstool with some fabric purple that had once been on there that now fits with the colour scheme againLeft the paler coloured fabric underneath ready for next time we decide on a change
All meals from stores, leftover chicken curry tonight
Washed a load on the quick 30 degree wash (hung on radiators ready for later as its rained most of the day)
Ran the dishwasher twice on the quick wash
Dss lunches are made for tomorrow
Dh is working from home tomorrow so a saving on petrol and more importantly his time
Thats it for me. Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hello :coffee:
Gosh it's cold and wintry out there today - I'm glad to be home in my jammies and under a blanket already. I've brought marking home from work so that I can keep up with the workload without having to spend extra time in at work - which I'm really not enjoying at the moment.
Little PAD to cc today, and expecting Mr S to deliver some groceries this evening - so not a nsd, but I am finding that grocery delivery saves both time and money as I'm not tempted and always stick to my list.
Nothing much else to report, life is quiet, and I actually quite like it - I'm hoping to get my latest blanket finished over the next couple of days, depending on my other work. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Not doing well this week bought stressy snacks yesterday and today, but made that up by stretching portion of batch chili over 2 days and having easy yummy dinners. So not a quiet week.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hi gang
Happy Friday PF and Ziggy and all who follow!!
Ha ha 1LL - I live 252 miles away from my parents
I'm WFH this morning with a hospital appt in between. Need to go in at lunch but mainly because I need to go shopping on lunch.
My pal sent me a bunch of stuff for baby so we have a million baby grows now.It has meant that I have already had to start a charity bag for baby stuff though as she sent me some stuff I won't use 'Born in 2018'...'Baby sister'...Halloween stuff for 0-3m when my baby will be 6 months... Guess it's a small price to pay for the good stuff... Just seems like such a waste.
Here's me:
Porridge brekkie
Free car park spot this afternoon (hopefully)
Fake away tonight - frozen pizza
Check banking/YNAB
Hmm...pretty sure there is more than this!!0 -

Yes I am that childish.

wow it's too hard to keep up with posts if you don't post dau=ily! I'm half way through page 3. Will try to find out what's going on for you all.
Not much to report - have been at home all day. Wish I could say it has been super productive but that would be a massive lie!
I have:
* finally run dw/flushed toilet/had coffee - woke up this morning to no water!
* have just eaten some ys olive bread that's been lurking in the freezer for a while. Have one more portion left
* charging my phone so I can photo and list a few things over the w/e
* going to bff's this evening. Being fed and watered and staying over
* will pick up some flowers for another friend who is having a torrid time and drop them in on the way. Just to let her know I love her and things will get better
That seems to be itpretty shoddy by all accounts!

Hi Friday Frugalistas,
An intensely uninteresting routine day here today, but we haven't been spendy & have been actively discussing ways to avoid spending traps over this weekend when we will be very much out of our usual routines. So today's dull list:
*Collected large bag of cat biscuits which we ordered from our indie pet shop. Already paid for.
*Stuck to shopping list for the few grocery items needed & made sure we bought a few snacks for tomorrow's long journey, rather than paying insane prices at services & garages on route.
*Made use of free coffee at Waitrose & with a £1 marlborough bun each, that worked out much cheaper than buying coffee & cakes in the cafe. Also picked up the nice free food magazine.
*Avoided the yellow sticker section......well, I had the quickest look but it was pretty much all ready meal/ready made stuff & I'm always more on the look out for raw ingredients for cooking stuff from scratch.
*mr f managed to get some or other little cabley gizmo he needed from Wilko's rather than a more techy expensive store, so that was a win.
*Cleaning whole house between us using minimal products & washable microfibre cloths - my half is done......mr f just has to finish the last of the vacuuming.
*Did a survey - no Prolifics for me today, but must keep remembering to check, as the earnings from those can add up quite well & they are often more interesting too, than answering banal questions about brands I don't buy.
*Read free Guardian (courtesy of Waitrose loyalty card)
*Check seedlings & water if necessary. Got to nurture this year's food crops.
*Might knit a bit more of the Christmas present I'm making.
*All bathroom & kitchen linen changed & loaded into washer ready for an Economy 7 wash & a good drying day for pegging out.
*Paid another 50p piece into my sealed pot - I hardly seem to be getting any 50ps thus far this year.....probably everyone on here got them in their sealed pots!
*Cut open hand cream tube to extract the last tiny bit - I am finally at the end of my hand cream stash. It's the sort of thing people buy me as they know I am a gardener & I quite like doing my nails when I'm in the mood, so I end up rarely having to buy it, but I did actually have to buy a new tube last weekend. I haven't tried it before......it's from the shop that sounds like it's the place you'd go to for a new body, iyswim......I used my £5 loyalty voucher to get the price reduced & have to say that so far, it seems a good product, nice & rich & you don't need too much of it. I've deliberately tried something a bit more expensive that I hopefully shan't need to use so much of, as I do find that I need to use loads of cheap sort of 'wetter' hand creams in order for them to have much effect.
Right, I had better get a shift on now, the sooner all my tasks are done, the sooner I can have some leisure time.
Best wishes to all,
