What small DFW things will you do w/c 4th March?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

* will see how the day pans out as may go to allotment if weather dries out
* do job search/complete application - purps I got an interview for the job I applied for but decided I didn't actually want the job so pulled out. I'm trying to be brave, and make a living from my passion. The application is to work in a fabric store. I'm meeting with someone this weekend to discuss setting up sewing lessons/courses
* meals from stores - will make ham, mushroom & pepper crepes for tea (am working tomorrow)
* make a batch of chilli, bean & chocolate soup for lunches this week....
* cut out pattern for a dress & make a storage box with some fabric scraps

Hi March Money-Savers,
Thanks for the starter DNM. Good luck with your projects.
Morning!:coffee: W.e.e.k.e.n.d! I've been missing in action out in the real world again. Yesterday we used our RSPB membership to visit the local reserve. Today we're heading over to a nearby island for some photo-gra-faffing.
Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:
* Check online banking. Done.
* Check DW's online banking. Done.
* Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming.
* Sort out my passport renewal online.
* Eat homemade 'Philadelphia' cheese. Bought 2 pints of YS milk and a carton of YS whipping cream. Cost of cheese made was £1.80. Cost to buy that much Philly in Morrisons is £4.Done.
* Walked to doctor for blood test. Done. Hmmm, now two of my blood numbers aren't right so that needs investigating. Usually I've just one wonky number.

Morning everyone
I'm working at home today - studying for a qualification. Been doing it for a few years but stalled last year due to DD2 ill health. Trying to get on with it this year as want it out of the way and will get a small work bonus too... Already done a couple of hours work so having quick tea break.
Onto frugal plans.... one lot of washing on the line and 2nd lot in the machine.
will walk to co-op (Mr C?) at lunch as want to get bottle of wine for friend as late birthday gift.
Been looking in freezer as need to defrost it so trying to run down supplies - found quorn and homemade tomato sauce so plan to make veg spag bol for one meal. Looking in fridge and cupboards think I can make most (all?) meals for the week (M-F) from supplies - watch this space!
thanks to those who gave me the list of abbreviations most often used - what is a frog though?!
have a good day everyone

Morning all
Thanks for the start DNMS - exciting stuff re your sewing ambitions. I am sure there is a call for it, there are loads of requests on local FB groups for people to do alterations on clothes, curtains and repairs etc. Trouble is people always want things done cheaply  I believe that if you use someone's time and skills you should pay the going rate for it, so do take care to price your time properly!
Today's plans:
Housework - OH did downstairs (or at least put the hoover round) and I did the first floor
Went to babysit poorly (again) GS while his mum went to the dentist's
Popped into Mr S on the way back, to pick up something I forgot the other day. Remembered to take food bank donation with me, so popped that into the collection trolley while I was there. Also remembered to take paper recycling with me, so put that in the appropriate bin. We have a stupid little box thing for most of the recycling, and an enormous bin dedicated just to plastic bottles and cardboard. Who has that amount of these things? It only gets put out about 4 times a year  The lids of the stupid boxes always blow away and get broken, and if you put paper in there it just blows all over the place. I take it to the supermarket instead!
OH waited in for the boiler man, who took ages to service the boiler, having arrived at 12.30 while I was out and was here long after I got back  Turns out he and OH had been nattering for ages. Why do men always accuse women of yakking too much??
Load of washing out on line - hope it stays there (it is really windy), and dries a bit before it rains again!
Another load in the machine
Leftovers for (late) lunch
Come to think of it, it will be leftovers for dinner as well :rotfl:
Must walk to the post box and post a RM surveys item
And check banks and update spreadsheet
Hope everyone is having a good day0
