This 53-page thread is only about one type of PCN at one specific location, so it's not an advice thread about different types of defence and stuff.
With the luxury of the current hiatus could we perhaps find a way of creating a resource which walks people through the process simply but copes with the variations in the type of defence which are relevant?
The NEWBIES thread walks people through the process, and to make it simple we now have a template defence for ALL cases except ParkingEye ones.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

If that is the case then I am puzzled by a couple things:
    1. Where is the "Newbies" thread located. I can't find it.
    2. Although the thread refers to only one type of CON and one location it covers a number of different situations calling for different responses e.g. The hire car situation.
    3. Clearly, no thread like this can be relief upon to give legal advice on how to proceed in a particular case but it does provide excellent information on the way to proceed with cases being pursued by this company at this location.

It is, surely to everyone's advantage that the information is easily accessed and ultimately the group succeed in stopping this pernicious menace.

    1) near the top of this forum you have been posting in and has been in that top 4 threads for almost 7 years

    2) we do the best we can as volunteers and this is a consumer rights forum not a legal aid or legal advice forum and has never pretended to be , airports have been covered extensively on here in the last 7 years I have been coming here , plus UKPPO have other sites like residential sites , so coupon mad wrote her 2920 template defence to cover all cases except Parking Eye cases

    3) we agree but that tsunami of Newcastle airport court cases subsided after over twenty wins by defendants , so it's a useful thread but times have moved on

There are no easy one liner answers for these PCN,s and what you have failed to take into account is we are waiting for the new Parking bill CoP to arrive but Brexit and covic have delayed it

The hire car situation has been covered in that Newbies thread first post for several years due to advice by coupon mad and Edna basher, nothing to do with airports or UKPPO per se

The Newbies thread is the second one down when you go to

    Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking

PLEASE read it and follow the advice given on there.  That way the helpful regulars on here will have more time to deal with cases that are further on.
Come back when you have written your first drafts for the court proceedings and start a new thread.
Finally use a computer or pad, not a phone as the phone apps often miss important things.
Whatever you do do not pay the scammers, do not agree to any court hearing on paper or phone without advise from the experts, with thousands of thanks, on here.

If some members stopped spamming that thread it would stay in position 3 on the list , it was top of the shop for a while until I asked soolin to remove the spam posts , so it will be in either first position , or second , or third

Thank you, excellent and well presented advice. Clearly, keeping it in a fixed location is challenging.  Might it be easier for the new reader to find if a link like this one were emailed to each person as they posted for the first time on this forum?
Excellent though this advice is the solution is better regulation. Might it be possible to appeal to the man who started the site to build a movement to make change?

I already told you what the change will be

That movement started some 6 years ago culminating in the bill by Sir Greg Knight getting royal assent 13 months ago

I don't understand your comment at all. To which change do you refer? If it is one which came into law thirteen months ago has this stopped these rogue companies? Additionally, Newcastle Airport has been allowed by government, according to the responsible minister, to sit on proposals to change their byelaws. This cannot be desirable and the content of byelaws, which are misused by these rogue operators with the apparent support of the airport operator could be tightened if the public had their say. My suggestions are meant to be constructive and would ask that you treat them as such.

    I don't understand your reply

The law came in 13 months ago after many years of campaigning by people like myself and others on here , but the new changes have not come in yet , the BSI was tasked with drawing them up for the Mhclg late last year

It's pointless asking for a new campaign when the last one has not yet been completed with a new government CoP so no that new law has not yet been implemented, it only received royal assent 13 months ago after successfully passing through the commons and the lords and buckingham palace

I have been telling thousands of people to read that newbies thread for several years , yet you have only just found it and I doubt that you have been involved in changing the system in those years , so I will take your comments seriously when you are up to speed and not firing blanks whilst blindfolded or with blinkers on

The public including me had their say 5 years ago when the dclg issued a public consultation ordered by Eric Pickles and many regulars on here contributed to it and brought about the bill by Sir Greg Knight

I fail to see why it's a good idea to do it all again when the outcome of 5 years of actually doing it is still awaiting the new CoP by the Mhclg

My question to you is have you asked your MP to contact Robert Jenrick and see what his department is doing and when we can expect the new CoP to be finished and to be implemented ? if you have not contacted your MP then you havent even understood where the system is up to or what the real questions are
