If I lived in the area and, like, had nothing better to do, I would totally go view it and then make a truly insulting offer.

  • well, i can imagine that was a hard choice but good for you for standing by your principles. The flat was overpriced and the vendor was messing you around big time. Hard decision I can imagine but if it hasn't happened it obviously wasn't right and I bet you find something later you'll much prefer.

Ghecccccccckooooooooooooo will you please let us all know when you get a new place? You will look back at this and laugh. At first when you lose a deal on a house you feel like the house was perfect and the decor was perfect and there will be no other place quite like it for what you can afford. Time passes and so will the feelings about the house. I remember when we would be turned down for the perfect house because we couldn't come up with enough cash. I would fret over that for weeks how perfect was this and that and how much research we had done and how nice the schools were. It didn't last long and one that was better and cheaper always came along eventually. Merry Christmas and do let us know when you start looking again. Taffy

Well done, you won't regret this.

That means money in the bank for you and a lesson learned for this dodgy vendor.

You've got to love that karmic boomerang!!

And he's left the seller with hundreds of nutters who know where she lives and with sufficient boredom to phone up for silly viewings...

Look, it's no longer "under offer"

That was quick. Personally I'll be keeping an eye on it to see how many months it takes to sell.

:rotfl: I just looked at the link for the first time and she's got the same Ikea vase and birch twigs that we used to 'dress' our last house when we sold it. Should I be admitting that:rolleyes: ?

PS. Good decision not to buy.

Why would a flag...sorry FLAT... need a twig dressing??? What were you trying to hide behind the tree?
