Flat buying - seller turning nasty

Why everybody's saying well done for not buying bla bla bla bla when it's the seller who pulled out!0

I said well done for sticking to his guns and not being railroaded into a large purchase.
I doubt the seller will get an offer as good as his was anytime soon.0 -
Ghekko, enjoy your Xmas and you'll find somewhere else in the new year. Ok so the flat and the seller from hell (is there a club for them? Our's was the same but we bought and the b*gger retired to France) are in London where prices are either still going up or holding steady at a high level. But....the location rule still prevails. It's over a shop and on a busy road. You may feel that oh God, we should have bought it etc, but there WILL be another flat and in a better location. All the best. Hope you find a nice rental for the minute and can catch your breath. I know it's hard when you're renting what you want to buy as you have an attachment, inertia about moving, but I'm sure that eventually you'll look back with relief.0

If the seller gets this link (might send it myself)...
Can't wait to hear the other side to this story.
Where do you nominate for best threads?Been away for a while.0 -
After reading much of this thread, it was a little surprising that the Bairstow's advert does not have "As featured on Moneysavingexpert.com"

I for one like fighting for the underdog and have convinced myself that it was due to the tenacity and assertiveness of Ghekko that the vendor pulled out.
Besides......the story sounds better this way, just wished there had been a car chase, some shooting and a bit of romance in the background......:rolleyes:0 -
I DO wonder what the vendor's version of all this would be. You know, two sides and all that..... I wonder if they'd be rather reluctant to give it to us on this thread however for fear of attack? I personally would love to hear the other version, and promise not to pre-judge by what I've already read on this thread. (.... My vainless attempt for a 'part two' to this saga, oh and to get anotehr 'thanks' from Ghekko... been collecting 'em) ;-)0

knowing this forum I'm amazed no ones trolling as "vendor"0
