Speaking of which, here's the Nethouseprices info for a flat at the same address as the estate agents. Could it be this one?

Hmmm,
Interseting in an area where our (much nicer) flat has seen no growth since we sold about then!
However we didn't have twigs or Ikea furniture!Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
Total so far £280 -
The flat doesnt look to have sold immediately.
Does the OP have any regrets at pulling out or found a decent place to buy ?0 -

This thread reminds me a bit of the famous "EagerLearner" thread about challenging rental deposit deductions.

As the thread evolves, a young person grows in wisdom and self reliance.
A result more important than the actual money involved.
Congratulations to all the moneysavers involved.

Oh Gekko thats fantastic news :T :T
If you are ever in the locale of the Hitchcock I'll buy you a pint
This could be a good strategy for MSE people to get free pints. Invent a story (*) about buying some overpriced flat in Lynz's territory, and then get a free pint when you announce that you've pulled out of the purchase.
(*) I'm not suggesting that Ghekkomanic made up the story.0 -
!!BUMP!!
What ever happened to the buyer in this thread ?
I seel the original flat he had problems buying has not shifted yet!!!!
You can now get a 2 bed flat for the same price so I doubt it will shift now:
e.g.:

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-19280672.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy
and the original place is still not budging:

and it's on with 2 agents:
