Just wanted to say I'm so glad Gekko and his GF worked things out in the end, but more to the point, I'm so glad someone finally posted a current link to the flat details so I can see what all the drama has been over!
Who's going to phone the agents to ask if the vendor for that flat will be prepared to accept a much lower offer.0 -

Sorry to hear about your vexacious (?) seller.
Ask her agent to send you particulars of some similar unfurnished flats to the one you seem willing to pay too much for - say that the flats should be at lower prices!
In the time since you agreed the price originally the developer would probably have left the market and the prices have probably come down - the proof will be in the pudding mix sent to you.
Finally sit down with your very sensible conveyancer and decide together what you both want to do. My guess is that the fine furniture you insist on buying will not be wanted anyway. If you cannot agree take her professional advice with gratitude.
Given the pychology of the situation you can only win by walking away - as for living in the place...?

Lets hope the seller got around to paying her service charge!!:D I suspect she was the developer and was hoping to pay this charge out of her profits, silly greedy women. Lessons were learnt all around on this one.
