  • Hello all,

Right now I am happy. I went to a wedding of one of my dearest friends and it was amazing. A proper love story and a truly lovely, loving family. Very life affirming.

I have ended up going overdrawn but you know what, it is ok :) I made a last minute decision to get the train and didn't have the cash in the right account. fixed it today and have been paid which is handy.

Have straightened up all the accounts and have to pay the CC but am going to wait for a few days to double check what needs to be paid.

I expect this first month will mean I borrow from my savings but am ok with that. My first month without using the CC willy nilly (!) hasn't gone too badly, 188.10 balance, versus a normal 4- 500 pounds. And I can account for all of it, it wasn't wasted money thoughtless spending.

In other news I had a chat with the head last week and it really made me feel better about things. Pretty positive about what is to come.

I think it is probably the half term affect but I feel pretty good tonight.

Aside from this awful earache that won't shift. LOL.

No, I with drew my notice, in the end the Brexit situation worried/worries me too much to be changing jobs when things are so up in the air. I appreciate a lot of people here won't think it is a big deal but living near London, things are getting quite volatile any way and I am not happy about changing schools until things have settled down. Better the devil I know for now. And with Ofsted looming our esteemed leaders have pulled their finger out so it is better. The !!!!!! thing happened was to do with the new guy and the head sorted it immediately.

I have a lot to do today, but the earache I have had on and off for weeks is back with a vengeance. I am going to finish my tea and walk the dogs. And find some cold and flu stuff.

  • Happy Halloween!

Half term has been lovely more or less. Sunday and Monday were spent recovering from the wedding ;) and I went out to eat with a lovely man on Monday, he is an absolute sweetie :)

Tuesday was good, had lunch with friends, yesterday I took Mum to the dentist and briefly saw my sister. Today I got out in the garden and started to prepare the rabbits for winter.

The rabbits have cost over 200 pounds this week. Between the vets and the improvements... I wasn't really expecting it but things like the right screws and a (another) electric screwdriver have made what I am doing SO MUCH easier. Just having a knife that is sharp!

My only goal this half term was to sort the rabbits out and we are on track.

The only downside is the dating ;) Not a downside, just a guy I liked cancelled on me. I am not really letting it bother me exactly..well I am otherwise I wouldn't be writing about it! Just made me feel really vulnerable and I don't bloody like it.

Money wise, I am basically up !!!! creek in terms of not using the CC. I will use the emergency fund to pay it off. I suppose that is ok. It was an emergency re the rabbits.

Tomorrow, weather permitting I will finish the roof, put the new side on, maybe cover it in tarpaulin. Saturday night i am intending to go out and get drunk!

  • Emergency fund stands at 650, tomorrow it will be 750 and I pledge to have my savings go up each day in November. An idea totally nicked from another - new diary :) XX

So tired. In 6 minutes all my payments go out.

it is going to be a tight month.

At least Christmas is paid for
